That is so sweet, Shawn. Is everyone going to allow the children to check themselves out? I think they have to be a certain age. Right now I have it so mine can, but if someone tells me why I shouldnt I can change that before the cruise. Also, for those of you that have been before, have yall used walkie talkies? I would like something other than that beeper. What about cell phone service or calling cards. On our cruise in June. We didnt have anything that worked. No cell phone service and our calling cards didnt work.

i am not going to let my dtr do that, once they check themselves out, if something happens no one would be responsible, that would not work for me, but every family is different, plus i have this vision of kids checking themselves out and just running wild around the ship-not saying yours would-

Currently we said NO to self checkout (need some *alone* time in the cabin ;-} ) but we may change that once we get on board.

Of course if she has a FRIEND.... Things may be different.

I dont know what I am going to do yet.I guess I can always change it if necessary. I am going to have to scope out the situation since I have never done it.

On a different note, I just watched an awesome trip report titled 10 day wonder photo shoot or something like that. NOW.... I AM REALLY EXCITED.
Christie and Howard just couldnt believe how much fun it looked like. I hope I can manage to have a fun trip report as such.

I am missing two addresses but for sure mailing out in the morning.....so look for your little package in the couple of days.

We are traveling this weekend to race. I am trying to look excited for Howards sake. Me and DD dont want to go. It is a six hour drive. The only reason we do want to go is because we get to visit some old friends about three hours into the trip. We have had races every weekend for three weeks now instead of the every other week deal. He enjoys it and is #1 so that doesnt hurt. This weekend is different because he is in an open kart. He is not strapped in and going about 55-60 mph. Those of you who believe in prayer...say a special one for our whole family. I am quite nervous. This is one of those situations that MOM was overrode. I had no say in the matter. I have fought this for a year and DH laid down the law.

i am tired, i work in the classroom and then off to the firm everyday from 4-8 yep that's right, i should be working now but i am on here

DH & I work for an airplane manufacturer RIGHT next to the airport. Every day I drive by the park & ride that we use when we go on vacation. AT 9 every morning I can see our airplane come in. It is pure torture.
Let me just share that this morning as I was getting off the freeway, there was a family in a minivan right next to me that were OBVIOUSLY going somewhere on vacation and they were very excited about it.

There I was, off to work. It was so depressing.
I love my job and my boss is amazing BUT 66 days seems like an eternity.

I booked Palo for 8pm on Tuesday (may cancel this if I can get brunch). I've also booked the single personal watercraft tour on CC. I may go to the Straw Market in Nassau - but don't feel the need to get of the ship here (been there, done that).

Exotic Rasul It's our 10th anniversary!

Massage for me I have 4 kids I deserve it!

Atlantis We booked a room for the day because it was cheaper than buying the Atlantis tour or beach trip and we get all of that plus the water slides!

Castaway Ray's Stingray thing at CC- for DH & 3 older kids

parasailing at CC for me & DD8- she's an adrenaline junkie and I've always wanted to do it!

I booked palo for 2 nights and would be glad to give away which ever one we don't use, I just couldn't figure out which night will work best for us. I would gladly give up both nights for brunch (Shawn any more room at your table to squeeze 2 more??!!)

I think I'm caught up for today- I need to go do real work now....dragging myself away from computer....

SillyandI ....Thanks!!!! We are leaving in the morning @ 6:00. Naturally, I havent packed yet. I am very grateful for an understanding school. The children took their spelling test today and work for the week caught up. I posted a few pages back our family plans for the trip. Not sure if im carrying the laptop this weekend, if you dont hear from me, yall have a great weekend.

Other than Palo, we haven't booked anything. In Nassau we were planning to do a self-guided walking tour and also visit the Pirate Museum.

This week the weather has definitely started to change here in the land of enchantment. We are in the 50's in the mornings and I believe it is time to start making some changes in the available selection in my clothing repetoire.
Hmmm, maybe it's time I do a little preleminary packing...

Should any of you have a spare wad of cash lying around, the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta starts in a week and it is quite the spectacle. Hot air balloons fill the sky like Christmas ornaments on the trees at Macy's. See aibf.org for pictures and info!

I've heard the Balloon Fiesta is quite an even and have seen photos and footage. It's actually something I'd like to do someday. I've also never been up in a hot air balloon which is something I'd like to do.

Right now, I'm in desperate need of a vacation. The last proper vacation we had was last January, when we were in WDW for New Year's Eve.

I haven't really taken any vacation this year, though I'm taking a vacation day on Monday for the holiday.

I've been hoarding up vacation for the BIG trip 13 night trip in December. I get 15 vacation days, and I carried over 10 days from 2005.

In 2007, it's going to be the same drill, 4 night cruise and 8 nights in WDW, only this time it will be in October and will involve more family.

The downside is going all this time without a proper get-away has not been good. I also can't believe that I have my vacations planned out through 2007!

We plan our vacations pretty far in advance.
Next year we will do two weeks in Mazatlan and then in 2008 we plan to go to Disneyland for a few days and Las Vegas a few days more!

we plan ahaead also, next year one week in hawaii and the other week, in australia, not sure which weeks we are going but that is the plan
