Anyone staying at Port Canaveral/Cocoa Beach day before embarkation?

I've booked at the Doubletree.

We have stayed in Cocoa and Port Canaveral in the past. And I'm going on a cruise this summer where we're staying at the Radisson at the Port.

But for the Fantasy, I have a yen for the Royal Pacific Resort at Universal.

I had a friend that was at Aulani a few months ago and the Pirates of the Caribbean ship was near the resort, but she said they told her it would soon be moving to Puerto Rico. How cool would that be if it is true?

We will be staying at Wilderness Lodge before the cruise...first time staying there. Looking forward to that.
That would be great if the ship will be in Puerto Rico...maybe at the fort that is near the port!!!

I thought the ship had been at Castaway Cay and essentially fell apart. I know I saw it there in pieces after it had been moved from its resting spot.

Maybe this was a different ship from a later movie?

Thanks for the welcomes And it was not the Black Pearl - you are indeed correct, it was the Queen Anne. She snapped some photos from a distance but it still looked pretty cool!

That would be cool, but I doubt it will end up in Puerto Rico. Only because Disney doesn't own a spot for it there like in Hawaii or at Castaway Cay. Now if it was put back at Castaway Cay, that would be great!

We haven't booked yet, but will be staying at the Radisson by the Port. We've stayed there each time (except for the one time we went to Disney World beforehand) and loved it.

I wanted to post the below since I have not posted in a while.

Hi Everyone!
My name is Flo (wltdsnyfan). I will be doing the fish extender for our December 1st Fantasy Cruising with Mickey Cruise!

I would like to start to compile a list of people that would like to par take in it.

I will only post your screen name on the DIS or your first name. I will not post cabin number or anything. But on are closed group on Face book I can post that since it is not public. I will add a document to the group and update the info when I add someone to it. On the DIS I will put an updated list once a month.

The cutoff to par take will be in the beginning October. This gives people time to get it all together. Once we hit the cut of date you can send me an e mail, private message or PM me on the DIS your e mail address and I will send you the spread sheet with all the info on it. I will also have copies of the spread sheet at the DIS meet on the Fantasy.

Will all that being said if you would like to par take please send me the below info.

Nope, not Disney this summer. Just a short weekend getaway to the Bahamas on RCCL. But almost any cruise is better than no cruise.
