December 03, 2005 Western Magic?

Gailyn, you will love the DCL site. Here's a link:
http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/dcl/en_US/index

They have recently revamped the site and it has some really great features, plus little movies and wonderful music. Also, you can book your excursions, spa, and Palo on line, 75-90 days out. I think if you are a Castaway Club member you will be able to book these 90 days out. No guarantees about the booking info, cause they are still working out the bugs, but hopefully by the time we all can book our "stuff" it will be working smoothly. :goodvibes

My kids loved summer camp, but that was eons ago. Now they love vacations from work. :teeth:

:wave2:

Wow, my dresses are already in! Now I'm really getting excited!

Offically started my diet system with my "weight and health management system"...if all goes well I'll be getting some alterations made on these dresses!!! :teeth:

Susan and John, still sending encouraging thoughts your way! :cheer2:

Linda, thanks for the Disney link. I'm going to check it out right after I post this! The kids are loving camp. Today they're painting t-shirts.

I bought two capri pant outfits at Chico's yesterday. They were having a big sale. I still have to find a swim suit cover up and a formal.

I'd like to find a princess dress for Nicole and a pirate costume for both DS and DD.

I also have to look at shoretrips.com and read about excursions. I still haven't figured out what we'll do at ports. I don't think the kids will go ashore for long on Key West. Just long enough to do the Pirate Museum I think.

Are we still planning a brunch at Palo on Sunday? What time????

Have a great day!

Gailyn :flower:

OMG I must be completely INSANE:crazy: . We celebrated Rachel's 9th birthday today, with a party of family and friends. Her cousin (the one that is going with us in Dec.) has been with us since Thursday evening. Her best friend and John's niece are also here spending the night. YIKES!!!! I can't belive it. There are 4 little girls aged 8, 9(2), and 10 squealing and screaming in Rachel's room.

John says there is WAY to much estrogen in this house right now. LOLprincess: princess: princess: princess: princess: princess: if you count the cat. He's planning on putting someones hand in a bowl of warm water tonight. Everybody knows what that's supposed to cause.:umbrella:

Oh well, so much for peace and quiet on Sunday morning. LOL

DH and I went to see Batman Returns last night. DH liked it and thought it was the best Batman so far. I on the other hand didn't care for it at all. Too much violence! I'm up for the new Herbie movie. I think that's more my speed!!

The kids had a nice day playing and swimming with friends. Tonight we just hung out and watched "Sandlot 2" and ordered pizza. It was a nice family day. The kids were busy and there wasn't any bickering. I think my standards for a nice day are getting lower as the summer goes on LOL!!! :)

Tomorrow I'm going to a purse party and a "Passion Party" given by the woman who has cut my hair for the last several years. I'm a little worried about this (the passion party part, Not the purse part!! I can always use a new fun purse!!) I feel that I was pressured into going. My only comforting thought is that the passion party company founder was on Oprah and I'm thinking, how bad can it be if it was on Oprah??? I'll let you know!!

I hope all is well :flower: .

I'm starting to feel like I'm talking to myself LOL!! But I don't like seeing us drift to page 2!

We're off to Cracker Barrel after church. The kids are thrilled. They love that place (Cracker Barrel, not church!).

I still need to find a bathing suit & cover up........Maybe Costco will have something.

g

I would love to be a fly on the wall at the "Passion Party". Is that like a fantasy party? Those are a hoot, especially if they are for couples. People get embarrassed so easily.

Have fun Gailyn and let us know all about it.

Passion party? Oooo la la!

Since I've never heard of these, I'm sure people think I'm too old....phooey...what do they know? :rolleyes1 :smooth: :rotfl:

Well Gailyn, fill us in....how was the party???

Busy weekend here too! Went and picked up my exercise equipment so I can do stuff at home. Want a little variety for my 5 a.m. workout :jumping3:

Doing really great on the diet! Feel fantastic and have been off ALL caffeine since Thursday!! :cool1:

Decided to hold off on buying the swimsuit until I see how much weight I lose. The dresses can be altered...a suit...that's a different story! The $240 I won at the 4th of July 50/50 raffle will come in really handy for more shopping!

:cheer2: Congrats Kris on winning the raffle and sticking to your diet! I went no caffeine for 3 months, but now I am back to one cup of coffee in the am. Just really missed my morning jolt, lol. I drink decaf tea and water the rest of the day.

Hope you all were out of harms way this weekend. It was a little hard watching the destruction in Pensacola... thats where I went to high school and college. Lovely place (when its not being pummeled by a hurricane), but the palmetto bugs scare me. :earseek: :teeth:

Sarah's right, but I will add a little more description. Its a huge, flying bug that looks like a roach and sounds like a B-57 bomber when it flys across your bedroom and lands on your pillow in the middle of the night. (And I never knew I could leap from my bed that fast, from the bed to the hallway in a single bound!) :rotfl: :rotfl2:

EWWWWWWWWW That sounds sooooooooo gross. But I would like to have seen you leap that far Linda.:rotfl2:

I looked the critters up on the internet....yuck...they are gross! And the thought of them flying....it makes my skin crawl!

John and Susan, how is it going? Still smoke free?

Had my first weigh in today. Only 5 days into the diet. Lost 2 1/2 pounds and 5 1/4 inches. Feeling good!!! :cool1:

:p Susan, I was a lot (a whole lot!) younger then, and leaping was much easier. :teeth:

Congrats Kris on such a great start on the diet!

Susan, are you winning the weight loss challenge at your work? Just keep repeating "the spa", "the spa", and I'll bet those winnings will be yours!

Jeanna is doing a great job on her diet, too!

Keep it up!!! :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

susan u asked what a palmetto bug mom and i gave u the answer :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Eeeks, those bugs sound scarey and gross!!! I can't imagine having that fly at me in the middle of the night!!

The purse and passion party was very interesting. I bought a pair of Chanel sunglasses, a watch and two purses. I looked at all the "equipment" and lotions on display for the passion party and was totally intimidated
I had to leave to meet DH and DS at DD Nicole's baseball game before they "demonstrated" or discussed any of those items. I was a little curious so I'll have to go to the next party to get the scoop. I have never seen anything quite like it.

Kris, congratulations on such a good start to your diet! Keep up the good work!

Have a nice night!

Gailyn

I've been to a passion party...or as we called it..an "adult" toy party. It really is intimidating to sit through the demonstration. At least they take you into a private room to place orders so you don't have eyes and ears checking you out! They have a really good cream for shaving the bikini line that I've used. I also remember seeing that they had some "tame" fun things.

Thanks for your support on the diet. I am staying optimistic! I've doing a variety of workouts and there are a couple that really kick my butt! I'll keep you posted.

Alright Kris, what kinda starvation diet helps you lose 5 1/4 inches in 1 week?

I know that I have lost 3 lbs since I started at curves but I won't know about the inches until at least the 28th.

I am considering taking up jogging in the evenings when it is cooler, Rachel says she wants to run with me so we'll see.

The jackpot at work is between $400-500. That sure would buy some new SMALLER clothes for the cruise.
