Our documents just arrived this morning too!!!

I did notice that there is no mention anywhere about the romantic escape at sea package we bought, so I have to call them and make sure they didn't forget it, although based on the price on the documents it seems to be included.

Three weeks and counting. We got our documents yesterday from the Cruise Line. I have not even started to pack!!! I like the changes on the seating- 8PM, 8:15 and 8:30 rather than one time for all. Maybe others were aware of this. Has anyone called to see if you can request one of those specific times or do they not allow that?

For the update on the who's going.... we are in Cabin 2647- hoping we might have gotten an upgrade but that didn't happen. Oh well.

We plan to do the Tulum ruins at Cozumel... if we get to go there.
At Key West we will probably just hang around. At Grand Caymen we planned to hit a beach on our own- not through any tour- probably Seven Mile Beach. We are planning to review all that with the others we are sailing with next week... so stand by ... it could change.

Disney R US - on our own, to do the Aquarium at Key West. We booked through Disney one of the Grand Caymen Island tour with Rays. Booked on our own a dolphin swim (DD12, DD8, Me) and a Dolphin Encounter (DH & DD6).

Hannosmom - tour in Grand Cayman. KW - we're just going to bum around. Cozumel we will be doing the Cavern tour

Mommynt - Key West : site seeing and the Ship Wreck Museum; Grand Cayman : site seeing Turtle Farm, Butterfly Farm, and Hell; at Cozumel we were doing the dolphin swim. I have not had any time to research Costa Maya -- so I don't know.

Mustanggirl - GC - stingray city with group called Moby Dick tours. Cozumel - Dolphin swim for DD and my friends husband. KW - just sightseeing.

NJ Cruisers - KW - Pirate Museum and Butterfly Place. GC - beach. Cozumel - Chankanaab, Eagle Ray Snorkel Trip or Paradise Beach.

Popovich - Pirate Museum on KW, beach on our own at GC (Rum Pointe or Sea Grape) and Chankanaab, Eagle Ray Divers or maybe Paradise Beach on our own.


PRE CRUISE:
Chichihoney - MVMCP on Thursday
Hannosmom - MVMCP on Thursday
NJ Cruisers - All Star Movies and the parks on Wed, Thur, Fri

Apparently the dining times are assigned according to which rotation you have. For example, we have the APL rotation, and our early dining time is 5:45, which is slightly after lunch and seriously into my nap time If you have the PLA time, you might dine at 6:00, and the LAP might dine at 6:15.

Hey all,

I checked my excursions on the DCL website and it looks like they changed our itinerary to cancel Cozumel and added Nassau on Thursday. Our schedule is now Sea on Wed. and Nassau on Thurs. Has anyone heard anything.

With the devestation in Mexico, I actually feel this is a good alternative.
I visited Nassau while on the Wonder almost 3 years ago, and while it is not my favorite port, I will enjoy it....will get on the internet this weeke and find a nice beach and take a taxi over to Paridise Island for relaxation and maybe a little gambling.

The Atlantis Hotel and Casino is on Paradise Island just a short taxi ride from the ship - you can be see it from the ship when it is docked in Nassau...DCL runs several excursions over there but I would just take a taxi and go to the casino/restaurant area.

Check the Cruise Reports for the Wonder to see what people have to say about the excursions.

So what days are sea days, and what days are we at the islands. My cousin left me a message that we need to go over some new things (oh she's my travel agent), must be about going to Nassau and what type of excurions we might want to do there. Can't get over there till tonite. Did Nassua on the Wonder, and liked it. I am glad Disney made the change because at least I have some research on this port.

Where did you get the info on the change. Disneyfanaticsrus called Disney on Thursday this week when we all received our doc's and they had not made any decisions. Please advise and thank you.

You can go to the Disney Cruise Line site at:

pull up your reservation by using your reservation # and it will tell you what your itinerary is.

I don't think the change was posted till late last night.

Ok now that we know that it is Nassau I tried to book my excursion and DCL site won't let me, what's up with that?

I talked to Disney Cruise Line tonight. They just posted the change in itinerary since last evening. They said that they were having complaints about too many other cruise ships at Costa Maya. I am disappointed that we are not going to see any Mayan Ruins... our kids are a little older that most of the ones we've seen so far on the roster and that was one of our goals for this trip but... Nassau it is.

Disney told me that they would automatically cancel any shore excursions made through them for Cozumel. They had not yet done that when I last looked so I wonder if they will not be able to allow us reservations at Nassau until those are cancelled. I also wonder if they will move Island/Pirate Night to Wednesday since that is now a Day at Sea rather than Thursday? I hope not as we made Palo reservations for Wednesday.

Does anyone know if the Nov. 19 trip has been switched to Nassau? If they are we might be able to get some good information on the daily schedules.

I am personally very happy about the change from Cozumel to Nassau. I am very OCD so change is very difficult for me (thanks for pointing this out to me mom). But, after weighing the options, it really is the best one. I know I had my heart set on going to Cozumel, but it just wouldn't be the same with bare trees and all the destruction. Let's face it, it is Mexico. They sure can do a lot of stuff to get things running but you can't undo what Wilma did in just a few weeks. It was hit really hard and I would feel pretty guilty going there on a vacation and see what these people are dealing with. For the same reason, I don't like going to other locations that require me to drive for an hour in a very poverish area. What can I say, I am a softy. Anyway, when I called DCL today, I had a very helpful CM on the line. She said that they had just made the change to the itinerary. They will cancel all of our Cozumel reservations on their end but probably not until Monday or Tuesday. If we wanted to cancel them online, we could do that as well. Since it is a completely different day than when we were going to go to Cozumel, you won't have to worry about the old ones needing to be canceled before the new ones can be booked.

As for changing Pirate Night, that is a good question. Those nights can be changed at any time they say. They even tell you that you can't be guaranteed anything until you get your Navigator but the OCD Planner in me says 'Are you kidding?? How am I supposed to plan around that???' So, I would just wing it the next week or so. Give them enough time to get it all worked out on their end and I am sure we will be able to get much more definitve answers. From what I understand, they have to do several system changes to make everything available online and to the CM's at DCL. This could take a few days but they released the info as soon as they could to give us as much time as possible to make alternate plans. I guess we should be happy that we know where we are going as sometimes you don't find out until you get there. Now, for me, that would really STINK!

As long as I am cruising on DCL and with friends and family, I don't really care where we go. Things could be a whole lot worse so I will take this and just roll with it.....
