Dec UY and Banking question

Hi all,
I thought I understood all about banking/borrowing but I keep wondering about something. I have a Dec2013 UY with 99 points left and 350 points coming in Dec2014. If I wanted to book an April 2014 trip (via online) would the 99 pts be used automatically or would I have to bank them into my 2014 UY first? And even though I'll have 350pts in Dec 2014 will I have to borrow them to use in and April2014 trip? Also, is it possible to bank and borrow online before making a reservation? I think I'm getting confused because my UY is at the end of the year! TIA for an help!

If what you state is true you have no 2012 points left The points you will get in Dec 2013 you have used all but 99? Then since your vacation takes place in your 2013 UY, no need to bank anything but you will need to borrow from 2014.

If you ment you have 99 2012 UY points left then you will need to bank those soon so they are available online as banked to make the reservation for April 2014.

in general, you have to bank points first. you can bank them at the same time you call MS to book, though.

in your case, as stated, you do not need to bank 2013 UY pts for a trip in your 2013 UY (april 2014). those are current pts.

you can book right now for an april 8, 2014 reservation at your home resort. (edited to add: using banked 2012 UY pts (if any) + current 2013 UY pts + borrowed 2014 UY pts (if needed) )

And even though I'll have 350pts in Dec 2014 will I have to borrow them to use in and April2014 trip?

an april 2014 trip is in your 2013 UY, so yes.

Also, is it possible to bank and borrow online before making a reservation?

you can bank beforehand but borrowing is different. you do not "borrow" pts just to have them available - you borrow pts to book a reservation, so you'd try to book april 2014 and if it is available and you need to borrow to complete the reservation, then you borrow the pts at that stage.
