Dec rehabs?

I see that Blizard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon have rather long rehabs in the winter months for this up coming winter. Were planning a winter trip in 2006 and I like to know the history of these rehabs? Are they same every season? Is BB always first to close? Any info would help on the history of these two water parks would be helpful.
