Hi everyone. I've been struggling to decide what I all I want to do on my anniversary trip this December. It's 11 years and it's our first anniversary trip, so I'd like for it to be special, but not necessarily horribly expensive. We're going to be at the World for 4 nights and we did get the free dining with our reservation. I've changed ADR's a number of times. I'm trying to do this without input from my husband because he's ok with it all being a surprise to him. So, tell me what you think. Thanks!

Wednesday - Tokyo Dining 8:55pm - Can you see Illuminations from here??
Thursday - 50's Prime Time Cafe 8:00pm - Maybe just an appetizer or dessert. Really did this one because I wanted to be in the park past closing and get a glimpse of it when it was close to empty.
Friday - Biergarten 12:15pm - My husband mentioned trying the "german place", so I threw this in for him. Raglan Road 8:15pm - We're staying at POFQ, so I'd like to take the boat ride to DD and thought this place sounded fun.
Saturday - Kona Cafe 8:00am - This is our actual anniversary day. And this is for me - I want to try the Tonga toast.:cool2: California Grill 9:30pm - Hoping to get a glimpse of Wishes.

I'd really like to try out Jiko or Boma, but not sure how to fit all that in. Maybe Tuesday instead of Prime Time?? Or is it really neat to be in the park after closing?

Also want to see Fantasmic for the first time, but it's only on Wednesday and Friday of that week. Gggrrr. Any ideas on when to fit that in??

I've also thought about one of the segway tours. Any thoughts on that??

Thanks for the input!!

hi. sounds like a good plan. the biergarten and 50's have never been difficult for us to get an adr, so maybe consider switching those days so you can see Fantasmic, it's fantastic! I"m bummed that it's not on my DHS day either. I've seen it a few times though. It's better than seeing DHS empty at night i'd imagine. lol. THe german buffet is great but make sure you check the entertainment schedule so that you'll be there during the show. http://pages.prodigy.net/stevesoares/

the link has all the scheduled times.

Have a great trip!

This website has great information! Thanks so much! I also saw that Steven Curtis Chapman will be narrating the Candlelight Processional while we're there, so now I need to rearrange our schedule for that. He is really one of our absolute favorite artists! Thanks again!!

You gotta see Fantasmic....it is something not to miss. Also my hubby and I have done 2 of the Segway Tours, the first was on our anniversary trip. That was the highlight of the trip for him. Do the Segway around the World..the earliest one you can book, I think is around 8AM. We loved it so much we took our grown kids last year and treated them to it too.

I booked the segway tour this morning.:woohoo: Very excited about that. The times they had were 7:45 or 8:30, and I think one more time after that. I chose the 8:30 because I felt like it'd still be very empty in World Showcase, but I do want to sleep in a little. ;) I'm soooo looking forward to this trip!! Thanks for your advice!

First off congrats on your anniversary trip! You will be at POFQ shortly after us! :goodvibes
Did you try for R & C for Illuminations? We think that is the best place to view from, or you can always try for an earlier ressie somewhere and view them from a regular vantage point.

Segways are a blast, we tried one in North Carolina last christmas. Have a wonderful time on your trip! :santa:

What about changing your ressies Wed & Thurs nights, try for an earlier HS dinner and see Fantasmic? Illuminations is every night, so you could see it another night. Good luck!
