New BBQ pits at VGC? I wonder why, as the stainless gas grills are great. Perhaps adding more, or changing the location?.

Reallocation- usage needed to be redistributed. Weekends not being used
Jl- needed to be done and DVC is in the right place
Not all members will be pleased
Member perks-World of Disney discount wanted
Jl- c what they can do
Internet upgrade to wi fi?-cost money multi year plan
DVC member not getting free internet at Coronado springs.
Gas grill at BWV-costs
Incentives for housekeeping to check rooms better instead of members
SDJ- housekeeping is being monitored and has codes to enter into phone system to report room issues
Merchandise-DVC
Could you elaborate on this? Was someone asking about more options in terms of "resort specific" merchandise?
Here is the thing that bothers me about special perks for higher points.
Its one thing if they give them a 20% discount, or 2 free tickets or something like that for members that have 1000+ points
HOWEVER
if they give them an advantage on the booking window then I will be upset. Now the replys I will get to that will be, a) I paid X ammt for my points I deserve extra perks, and that may be true to the above points. However just because you paid more money should not give you benifits that are a DETRIMENT to other members.
Why should DVC care? After all 1 200 point member vs 1 1600 point member obviously the 1600 point member is more important, which I can understand. However I am willing to bet a LOT of money that there are many more 200 point members then 1600 point members. In fact I am willing to bet the percentage is overwhelming. There are more moderate and value rooms then deluxe rooms for a reason!
If you irritate/frustrate 10 members simply to give the 1 1600 member a benefit, then it is a loss for the membership and for DVC.
Don't get me wrong I am all for loyalty programs, I use them myself, however 1pt SHOULD = 1pt. I might be getting upset prematurely however I felt the need to express my opinion in this respect.
End of rant, thanks for listening and NOT FLAMING.

We will get our planners today after meeting!
The 2nd book will follow in Spring and no more late planners!
Aren't the planners already ten months late? We were able to book 2011 in March 2010.
Things were so much better before Jim Loser.
Well whoever had that job was so fired (imo)because the new guy said right off the
bat that the planners were late and that it
would not be happening in the future.
I think the online lady is next if we don't have online booking soon.
Yeah, blame the problems on the lower paid guy instead of the guy at the top. What a jerk.

I don't see how anyone inside if DVD was being a jerk. They admitted there was a mistake, took responsibility for it, and said it would not happen again.
They released the 2012 charts already. Sounds like they are on the stick.
The cost of those binders that they send out has to be incredible - both printing & the postage. I, personally, prefer just going online for the information I need, but that's just me.The mistake was changing how it was done a couple years ago. What Deb is referring to is that we used to always have those things LONG before we needed them, but the past couple of years they have been late, later, and latest!
I just wish they would go back to the binder pages....SO much easier and the information was pertinent.
Me too. I never use the planner and would prefer they make the info available online and allow us to opt out.I, personally, prefer just going online for the information I need, but that's just me.

I realize that but why not implement it for next year and beyond? It would save money and trees and save me carting it to the recycle bin. There would be a cost to add the option to opt out to the members website and to the software they use to determine how many to print and where to send them but over time they would get that money back and then some. They handed out copies of the 2011-2012 Vacation Planner at the DVC Annual Meeting yesterday, so they are already printed.

So why aren't they in the mail and arriving at member's mailboxes already? Did they have to wait until the meeting to tell everyone how they screwed up once again and show the members who were there how they are now on top of everything?
