Yes, she still does. She is in the Wizards/Hannah/Suite Life/iCarly phase. Sometimes its hard to keep up. I'm just hoping to give some of the party leftovers away. There isn't enough of them to sell on ebay plus the lanyards I got online at the Disney Store after they were marked down. Needless to say they probably aren't available anymore.

My girls aren't into Hanna Montana, Jonas Bros. or any of the princesses (they use to be) They like Wizards, TInkerbelle and iCarly .. though I am not a big fan of iCarly. I think they like a few of Miley's songs though.

Congrats! I just checked a little while ago and we're still in our booked Cat 9. I'll be just fine with the Cat 9 but would love a 6.

No HSM here either. Sounds like our 2 girls will get along just fine!

DD turned 10 in March and would love to know some other girls on the cruise with the same interests. Maybe they'll get the chance to meet up in the kid's club.

No pixie dust upgrades for us but we booked what we would be happy with anyways so its no big deal...we'll be in room 6584 to celebrate DDs 2 birthday and our 6th anniversary! My DM will be in 6537.

Sorry to mention packing cubes and then disappear - 3 of the 4 of us have a stomach virus, so it has been a rough few days. I kept thinking that I was so glad this didn't happen on the trip!

Packing cubes: yes, the ones at eBags are what we have, and we love them. We also started taking smaller suitcases years ago, so I am not worried about the weight limit. I love that they help with wrinkles, and I also love having each person have their own color cubes that they just move from the suitcase to the drawer and back again.

I love the story of Marika - good for her for sticking up for everyone, but I too would have been a bit mortified. I guess it's like many stories - much more fun to laugh at later than living it.

Our DD9 also never really got into HSM, Hannah or the other characters. She does enjoy the live HSM show at HS and has gotten to go up and dance both times we've seen it, but she is not 'into' any of those things. Most of her friends are really into them, but her, not so much.

We too got our GTY cabin assignment and no upgrade. There are a lot of negative reviews on our cabin, #2652. While I am a little nervous, this cruise is free via a DVC purchase incentive, so we can't complain too much. Of course, I was hoping for an upgrade, so it looks like we will try to arrive early at the port in hopes of at least getting a different category 9 room assigned (which means missing breakfast at Boma, our favorite).

No worries though - we will make the best of it no matter what

Where can you find reviews on your cabin? We are on Deck 2 as well but midship (2560) directly off the elevators. We booked back in January and I'm starting to think we should have gone a few doors in either direction.

What I did once was do a search here on the disboards. I just searched the cruise forum with the cabin number and found out quickly I wanted to change rooms. One of the frequent posters on here that has been on tons of cruises had stated it was "the stateroom from hell" and that not the only negative report I read about it. As soon as another Cat 9 opened up, I snatched it up!

Thanks for the info. This would have come in handy a few years back. We had a room on Deck 2 (on the opposite side) and was under the walkway for the restaurants. All night long you could hear people walking, running, carts being moved. Wasn't the best time with a 2 year old that was a light sleeper.

Hmmm, hard decisions. I think my answer may be different every time I am asked, depending on my mood! But here goes:
Me--Parrot Cay, I love the tropical atmosphere
Dave--Lumiere's, he can not getenough escargot
Marika--(she is never easy!). For formal night Lumiere's is awesome but for Pirate night Parrot Cay is the best
Rio--Lumiere's because it is the most formal and he can always wear a tie

for room service:
Dave--not a room service kind of guy
Hadley--chocolate chip cookies
Marika--another one who does not do room service
Rio--Mickey bars and triple decker grilled cheese sandwhiches (he was well known by name by the room service staff on the TA for his daily orders of grilled cheese every afternoon and mickey bar every night after dinner)

I ask my kids this all the time too.

Well, since we haven't cruised, I'll have to comment our our favorite types of food.
Me (Carmen): Dessert! I'd start with dessert if I could
DH (Jarrod): Meat! - preferably Steak or a good Hambuger
DD (Haley): Cheesy Things (it's what she just told me!)
DS (Cameron): Snacks, especially if it's chocolate

As far as room service, DH and I are looking forward to ordering the cheese tray. I'm sure the kids will order their fair share of the Mickey Mouse Ice Cream Bars

Hey we are two doors up from you! I was worried about elevator noise, but the reviews of the cabin were great and said the elevators couldn't be heard.

What is your cabin number? I saw on the ships layout there is a conference room across from us. I'm hoping for quiet nights, since we have to get up early two mornings because of early excursions.

You'll have to stop down to say hi, I doubt you'll miss our door. We are Steelers fans and on our last cruise we decorated our door as such. We'll be doing it again this time. Hopefully no one will steal our magnets. We had our DVC magnet stolen (or moved to another door, not sure) last time.
