It's a booklet that arrives with information about the cruise. You'll have to read it when you get home unfortunately. Very time consuming to scan it to pdf it.

It will be super exciting when you open it.

I keep talking about it like crazy! Spent a few days with BIL last week. He went on a DCL trip a few years ago and gave me 'encouragement' about it. But he too lost a lot of the enthusiasm for it as it has passed. Just the same, it's going to be GREAT!

I'm not into this fish extender thing, but maybe that's what you need to keep up the enthusiasm.

I know what you mean, if it wasn't for these boards, I would of lost the steam also. My kids don't know about the cruise yet ( We are telling them when we get home in September), and my DH travels a lot so I think I would be lost too. I vote for it to be DECEMBER already also.

I'm new to this disboard so I hope I'm doing this right.

my husband and I are going on the 12/5 cruise this winter.
we are so excited. We were supposed to go last winter, but
I got very sick and had to cancel. we didn't buy travel
insurance, so I insisted my husband go without me.
but this year, God willing, I will go.
this will be my 7th cruise and now my husbands 8th.
I am excited about it being Christmasy and warm at the
same time.
do we all meet up somewhere on the ship?

I suggest you read this entire thread to get you going and into the swing of things. This is our 5th cruise, but first DCL cruise. Our kids can't wait, but I'm the one talking it up the most!

There are no specific plans on meeting aboard, but the cruise is still 4 months away so we may see something like that happening.

Welcome to the DISboards Doreen.

Our family is totally excited for our cruise 3 mths. 28 days. (I'm not counting the days)

This will be my families 1st cruise and 1st experience for Disney, so we are a little nervous and excited at the same time.

There are no plans at this time to meet up right now, and even if we don't make plans, we are sure to run into some DISers while on board.

Which city do you live in? We just drove through Wisconsin last weekend, and ended up spending the night in Hudson. Didn't see much but it was a nice town.

Our 2 nights in Orlando are also a secret. I figure we'll tell them mid-October (Canadian Thanksgiving). Don't want them to lose focus on school

My DSs are 7 and my DDs are 3. We booked our trip at the end of November last year, and thought we would surprise them at Christmas time with the school. Then a friend of ours phoned saying that the boys had been selected to do this baseball camp in Florida (never made it to Disney those) in January, so the trip became the backburner.

So with me graduating this year, my DH working and doing coaching clinics, the boys doing skating lessons and baseball camps. Then we thought we were going to stay at home for the baseball season, then DH got released, and we ended up in Canada.

We won't be home till the middle of September, and left all are disney stuff behind. The DS and DD our in summer camp programs right now, and we are keeping busy seeing some of the sights up here. I think my mom is making a shrine of all our disney stuff, for when we return, so when we return home that is the first thing they will see.

I just can't wait to read the welcome package. The latest we will be home is September 15th, so it will wait till them.

I can't wait to see my boys eyes. It all feels surreal right now.
