Are you planning to go again in early December for 2006? If so, are you buying an annual pass? That's the key question for us. Since we like to go in early December and only can make one trip per calendar year, we will go a little later in 2005 so that we can go in 2006 on the same annual pass.

FWIW, we've been both the first and second weeks of December and IMHO, there is not a significant difference in crowds. You will find the parks busier (but still very manageable) on the weekends and uncrowded during the week.
