Dec 4, 2011 Dream

TRY AGAIN WHEN YOU BOARD THE SHIP. ALSO I BOOKED THE HIGH TEA ON AUG 21st JUST TO GET INTO PALOS AGAIN. WE HAVE DONE THE BRUNCH THIS TIME WE ARE DOING THE HIGH TEA AT 3pm.

That is the plan. Also going to try checking in every once in a while to see if one opens up. I know the chances are about nil but I lose nothing by trying.

Also got 11AM PAT. Woo hoo!!!!:banana::banana:

I'm torn about possibly switching to a different cruise. I'm hoping for some opinions. This is our first cruise so we thought we'd do a short one to see if we liked it. We're not really interested in Nassau, but we're excited to see the ship and just take it all in. Since we're down in Florida for 3 1/2 weeks we have been thinking about taking another trip within a trip like to Curacao, but then thought about maybe doing a week long Eastern Caribbean instead. We LOVE St. Thomas and we'd love to see St. Martin, but of course if we don't love cruising that's a long time to be out there. Also it will cost us $1200 more if we booked it right now. Then again, if we love it this time around, we could always book a week long to the Eastern Caribbean while on board and save the 10%, right? Oh what to do, what to do? :confused3

Any thoughts?

Completely up to you...my boyfriend doesn't love cruising so we do the 4 nights. I'm psyched about doing the Dream and Castaway again. Good luck deciding!

My husband and two children will be on the Dec. 4th Dream cruise and would love to be involved with the FE.

Welcome to our group!! If you are interested, I have also started a group for this group on Facebook if you are on it. Some of us are getting to know each other there too! If you would like to join, just send me a PM with your FB name and I can send you a FR to join the group!

Karen, don't change cruises...:sad2:

Since our day to check in is not until Sep 20, I guess we will be out of luck on pretty much everything! pirate:

BETH CAN YOU CHANGE IT TO DISNEY DREAM 2011 REMOVE THE LOCATIONS AND PUT NASSAU AND CASTAWAY CAY REDO THE DATES TO 4th to 8th:worship::worship: I THINK THAT WOULD LOOK GREAT ON A RED T SHIRT OR GOLF SHIRT WITH SOMETHING SMALL ON THE POCKET. WOW IM GETTING CARRIED AWAY:rotfl2: WE COULD HAVE A GROUP SHOT BY THE CHRISTMAS TREE ON THE SHIP.

OK, my boss will be on vacation the rest of the week. I'm going to work on the logo here in the office because my computer at home doesn't want to cooperate this week. It's time to give the poor thing its annual cleaning and reformatting, but I just haven't had time!

I have a group shot taken in the atrium from the cruise with this shirt, but it was pirate night, and many people are in their pirate outfits. Jim and I went to Palo that night (we had switched with another DIS'er so she could enjoy Pirate Night with her kids. No one was wearing the logo.

Thanks for all the feedback regarding the 4 day vs. 7 day cruise. We're going to stick with this one and if we love it we can always book a 7 day while on board. :) We're thinking of spending a few days at Disney before the cruise and wanted to stay at a place with a great pool and slide to keep the little guy occupied on a non-park day. In the past we've stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. Any other great pools/slides I should consider? (I realize this is a cruise thread, but you Disney vets seem to know just about everything there is to know about Disney.... I just had to ask)

Glad your staying on our cruise!

I wouldn't do Port Orleans...not because of the resort, but Port Orleans and all the value resorts are resorts for the Pop Warner (Community football league) arriving on December 2 and 3. Theyre very loud and abrasive, numerous complaints from guests when staying at same hotel. Food Courts can be busy and loud and I the chaperones can be just as loud at night drinking out by the pool, outside rooms.

For moderates: Try Coronado Springs. Great pool and slide, they have a dig site too. Rooms have 2 queen beds.

Caribbean beach: Recently remodeled. Could get a pirate themed room for your son, great pool with slide.

Deluxe: Best pool is at Beach club with its slide and water park. Polynesian with the volcano slide.

Hope this helps!

I TOTALLY AGREE!!!! WE HAVE DVC TIMESHARE SO WE STAY AT OUR RESORTS LIKE OKW BWV SSR BC ETC. YOUR RIGHT THE BEST POOL IS AT BEACH CLUB AND CLOSE ACCESS TO 2 PARKS. WHEN WE DIDNT BELONG TO DVC WE USUALLY STAYED AT CARRIBBEAN. WE LIKED THE ATMOSPHERE. I THINK PORT ORLEANS HAS A GREAT POOL ALSO BUT WITH POP WARNER THERE AND I THINK CHEERLEADING GROUPS THE ECONOMY AND MODERATE CAN GET VERY LOUD AND THE CAFFETERIA STYLE BREAKFASTS CAN BE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BUSY.

BY THE WAY WE WERE WATCHING DINERS DIVES AND DRIVE INS THE OTHER DAY. THEY FEATURED A GREAT HAMBURGER JOINT IN RHODE ISLAND. ONE OF THESE DAYS WE MAY BE DRIVING DOWN:thumbsup2 I THINK IT WAS CALLED CRAZY HAMBURGERS, NOT SURE OF NAME. WHEN I GET A CHANCE I WILL LOOK IT UP. I KNOW YOUR NOT THERE NOW. THERE ARE SO MANY GREAT EATERIES YOUR WAY. WE ALSO WATCH THE PHANTOM GOURMET

Hello! Would you mind sharing whehter your kids are DS or DD and their ages? I'm making my FEs and have something a bit different based on that info.

I logged on at 12:01 am on 9/5, but didn't get either the brunch or the high tea. I'll try onboard, but from what I've been reading, if you are taking the bus from WDW, you don't get to port until 12:30-ish. sigh

I'll be coming from AKL if anyone else is staying there. Patricia
