Its the monday after Christmas and we're thinking about going that day. Does anyone have an idea what the crowds might be like? Or could you suggest a better day to go? We're just trying to make it there for the holidays and can go any day after the 17th. We'd just prefer a day not too busy. Thanks for the suggestions.

It's tough to predict but, after this week attendance it going to be up everyday for the holidays. If you wanted lower attendance numbers early in Dec is better. It will be busy either way, so I'm not sure how much of a difference you'll see.

If it were me, I'd probably go the 18th and hope that people weren't in holiday mode yet.

I would go the 20th-21st - The 27th-31st will be very busy with Christmas and New Year's Crowds. Most kids get off school the 17th, so I imagine the week of the 19-24 will also be very busy.
This season is a very busy time, so expect crowds and lots of them

If you want a day that's not too busy, don't go anytime between Christmas and New Year's - that week is notoriously busy. It's the busiest or second busiest week of the entire year. That's a known fact. It doesn't help matters any that the holiday season in general has gotten much more popular last year and this year.

The week of Christmas and the week of New Year's are both expected to be so busy this year that Disneyland is adding in extra Magic Mornings on the Mondays and Fridays of those weeks (in addtion to the usual Magic Mornings on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays). Only Wednesdays in those 2 weeks will not be MM days. This means they anticipate big crowds and are trying to help the flow of traffic a bit by letting some folks in an hour early on days when they ordinarily would not (only the folks who stay onsite at a Disney hotel or who have 3-day Hoppers or more will get use of the MM hour, however).

It will still be busy in that week before Christmas, but at least some folks will still be at home with family at that time. Once Christmas passes, everyone is off work and school and free to head to Disneyland. So I would go somewhere between 12/17 and 12/23.

We went the 26-27 a few years ago. By 10 am on the 27th they already stopped selling passes to DL due to crowds. If you didn't have multiday passes, you were stuck going to DCA only. I'd go before Xmas if at all possible.
