12/2 to 12/12, 10 day midsize with National, $172.29 picking up at MCO, dropping off at Car Care Center. 6100120 or 5760339 and ND8578ADT.
I wanted to pick up at CCC, but that rate is still $281.89..

Picking up at CCC is still $100 more than picking up at MCO.
I changed again to a midsize emerald aisle pick up at MCO for 10 days
using AARP 6100120 and National E-code ND8578ADT for $147.68...
I told DH he can ride the DME bus and I will meet him at the resort...
We have 19 days to decide.

A compact with Dollar for $117.54 and a Standard with Thrifty for $118.64.
Flying into Sanford Dec 17 - 21. I can't find anything else for less than these. I think for $1 I'll take the Thrifty Standard.

Is anyone seeing any good deals for Christmas dates (20-27 in my case)? I've been checking every day & the rates are just crazy high. I have a feeling they are not going to come down. I do have a Thrifty rate of $208 reserved from last June (thank goodness) but I was hoping to find something cheaper or in the same range with my preferred rental companies of either Alamo or Hertz. Anyone?

Is the insider code the same as your insiders number?

My rate for Dec 15-29 Is very high.
We went the same time last year and paid 1/2 as much.
Pick up Orlando airport drop Off Miami airport.

If you're doing a one way, try using National Car Rental, Corporate ID XVC1092 or 3715444 (Car and Driver Magazine)... you can combine this with a coupon if you find one.

Best I could find for my one-way MCO-FLL rental at the end of December

What codes are you using? I have a $185 for 10 days with Alamo/Costco travel for a Premium. I don't think I can get any lower but I would like to try!

We're taking a last second trip--Nov 25-Dec 3, picking up at MCO. I booked using the Visa code for National from Mousesavers, and got a rate of $223.xx including tax for a compact car. (One driver.) I realized afterwards that the code was only supposed to work for 5 days. I can't duplicate the rate I got when I try now--it says you can't use the code for that length of time. My reservation still looks okay.

As long as I use a Visa, do you think they will say anything? I can't even come close to this rate using a different agency, although I have to admit I'm finding Alamo codes to be confusing. I'm not sure which of the boxes some of them are supposed to go in, even though I read the instructions at Mousesavers.

I think you just need to be a member of Alamo Insiders and have a member number. They are supposed to send you a card with your number on it, but I've never gotten one. I just make sure I have my member number on hand if they ask.

I got a standard size car from Alamo for my dates of Nov. 30 - Dec. 7 for
$70.65!! I used my insiders # and coupon code AD2724FZA. I was dancing around last night telling my husband I was the rental car wizard!!! He just rolled his eyes and walked away...

I just went and put in those codes and it said that Alamo was sold out of cars at MCO for the dates Dec 3- 13! WOW! Never had that happen before!

Just found this great board and have unsuccessfully tried to get anything less than $480.
My dates are 12/18-24
Pick-up: MCO
Drop-off: RSW
No Saturday
I realize the increased cost off dropping off in Ft. Meyers, but geesh!
