Ok, so I got on the Disboards this morning with NO intention of booking a trip. I noticed at the top that the ticket prices were going up. So out of curiosity, I looked them up. Didn't really seem to be much of a change, but it's been a while since we have bought tickets. Out of curiosity, I also looked at the 2009 packages. I noticed the new Quick Service dining plan. And I noticed that they have a Junior plan that would include our two teenagers. My mind started reeling. I started thinking....and thinking. I mentioned it to my DH. He didn't seem to really protest so I called WDW (they are on my speed dial) and booked a trip! Just a short one, three nights and four days. But we are going on my DD's 16th B-day! We will be there Dec 3-6. And it will be decorated for Christmas!!!!! I have always wanted to go to WDW when the Christmas decorations were up. YAY!!!!:cool1: :cheer2:

We're planning on 12/24-12/28 for my husband's 40th birthday and our first Christmas at the World! Hooray!

I will have to check out that Junior plan you mentioned??

We're arriving November 30 and staying till December 14th!!!

We are going to be there December 5 - 12, 2009. I am very excited. This will be our first trip where not only are we taking our children (daughter 9, son 2) but also my mom will be flying down to meet us for the week. So we chose one of the family suites. I have never been during the holiday season and I am a Christmas fanatic, so I am sure I am going to be giddy as a child in a candy store.

My husband and I are planning a trip for around the first week of December '09. He keeps picking on me for researching/planning so much when it's so far away, but I can't help it! It will be the first time I won't be staying on property since the very first time I went about 14 years ago, which I'm a little nervous about. We'll be staying at our timeshare, and taking my parents and his along for the trip. I'm very excited to be going when it'll be decorated for Christmas! We're New Orleans people, so we always went at Mardi Gras before.

I'm planning on it!!! I just have to talk DH into it.. Maybe I will just surprise him!:lmao:
Always wanted to go at X mas time..

I booked our trip last week. We're staying at BWI on the Club Level the 2-9th of next year. This was a big deal because we're taking my parents on their 1st ever WDW trip - our treat. I am so excited. I'm more excited to see them there with their grandson than anything. OK, I'm also really excited to see the parks decorated for Christmas too.

Hooray - all booked for Christmas and my DH's 40th birthday at WDW!!! Our first stay at the POLY!! :yay: :yay:

Any ideas for a special birthday dinner for him??:wizard:

Anyone want to predict any discounts/promotions Disney might have for us in Dec 09? I'm hoping they will repeat the buy 4, get 3 deal for the second half of the year!!:santa: :santa:

My Ds , myself, friend and her DS all taking our first Disney Cruise in Dec 2009! We are also staying at Disney for an additional 10 days!!!!!!

Yippee.............

How about California Grill during MK fireworks? It's just a monorail ride away from the POLY.:goodvibes

Still in the planning stages, so not sure about the dates yet, but I will be there. I can't decide whether to take my daughter out of school for a while to go or just wait until her winter break. Also, I could stay longer if I wait and go over Christmas rather than early December. Any suggestions??

We're planning to return to WDW Nov 26-Dec8 2009! We just got back from our 1st trip! It was so much fun!!

We booked! This has changed though. We are going December 3-13! Added 2 days :lovestruc It's not just DH & I anymore either. We're now taking our DD18 and her friend as well. We'll have somewhat different iteneraries though so DH & I will still have some time for just the 2 of us. :goodvibes

Us!! My dd will be not quite two and a half and we're going on an extended family trip with my parents, brother, and uncle. DH probably won't be going since he has limited vacation time (plus he isn't as fond of Disney as we are. . .freak!). No set in stone dates yet, but looking at arriving around Dec 12 and staying for 7 days.
