Dec. 2, 2007-4 night Wonder and MouseFest Cruise

I realize some of us may get an upgrade. So to make sure we have the most current stateroom information for the secret santa, you can leave a message on my fishmail or call my stateroom 2128 with any changes. I would like to try and get this information no later then 10:00pm Sunday evening Dec 2, so that I can deliver a new list ASAP . I will also have plenty of lists with me if anyone needs one on the ship.

Upgrades? Possible, but rare I think. if you get there really really early there is a chance you could pay for an upgrade but it isn't likely.

I'm sure our cabin won't change, we specifically selected it a year ago.

I'm scared to even ask this after reading the boards, but here goes! I'm in a quandry. I've read the boards about dress codes, etc. and I don't remember there being an issue on our last cruise as far as feeling out of place. That was with only one kid though, who was 3 at the time. So, I'm starting my packing, and I was PLANNING on bringing all our family's formal Christmas outfits which would make for some good photos and nice evening dinner attire. However, I'm only half way through packing for the baby and I'm thinking I need to minimize as much as possible. By the time I lug on enough stuff for both DH and myself, AND for all three kids(5,3, 5 months) the stroller, carseats, baby blankets, breast pump, diapers, so on and so on, I just don't think that I can swing it. I plan on bringing little dresses for my 3 yo for dinner and some polo shirts and khakis for my 5 yo--do you think I can get away with not having anything formal or really dressy? A part of me feels like it's our vacation we should wear what we want, but then I read the boards and get nervous. Thoughts?

I'm now going to go hide under a rock! :rolleyes1

From what I have read and understand, there is not a formal n ight on a 4 night cruise, but the Monday is called a dress up night. Sounds to me that you will be just fine with what you are thinking - just some smarter wear. You will all look lovely I am sure.

We are not bringing a suit or jacket for John, so he will be in smarter trousers and shirt and tie, and I think I will be in a black skirt and nice top.

Try not to stress - enjoy your vacation.

Thanks for your reply! Last time, I think we only made one dinner as my son couldn't sit through the whole meal anyway so it's hard for me to gage how others were dressed. I'm so overwhelmed with packing and terrified I'll forget something important for one of the kids that I'm working myself into a frenzy.

Deep breaths now; you're going to be just fine!

I think as long as shorts and swim wear aren't worn in the dining rooms, most clothes are fine.

My bestfriend, Missamouse, who is traveling with me was also freaking out over this. We are both VERY casual people so we don't own very much "dress-up" clothes. I have a few things and she was getting upset because I am actually looking forward to having something to "dress" for. :rotfl: I'm sure you will be fine. From what I hear, you will see a little bit of everything.

I was so busy last time trying to manage my son that I just averted my eyes from all the well-rested, dressed up people and tried not to make eye contact. I figure, at some point everyone here will be able to wipe their own little butts and noses and sleep through the night and at that point I'll look nice again...Until then, if I don't have puke stain on my shirt then I'm dressed up!:woohoo:

:lmao: I always say mommies get a free pass on this anyway.

TOO funny... and a great approach.

GREAT weather here at LBV... shall try to keep it that way for all to arrive here soon!!!

I'll that that free pass! Now, what about baby weight? Can I still say I'm working on losing the baby weight, say, 10 years or so after the last baby? My sister kept on telling people she was still working on losing the baby weight so she'd get that sympathetic nod....problem was, the baby was 11 years old!:rotfl2: My youngest is only four months old now so I'm good for a LONG time!!!!!!

Mmm, how about 33 years since my last baby???!!!

Hi hear you Jennifer,

Ever since my 9 year old was born, I have had baby weight issues too. Now after my last one in July. The baby fat isn't coming off anytime soon. These last 20 lbs or so--urg! the frustration :sad2:

As far as packing goes, I know what you mean...just so much to pack with the kids I have been packing little by little the last couple of weeks. I have tons of list so that I won't forget anything, especially with the baby. I'll probably forget something thou..........

Well, you can always bum a diaper off of me! You'll recognize me--I'll be the frazzled one in the continual ponytail and stained up shirt that smells distinctly of baby poo, with a baby pawing at my chest as I stare longingly at eveyone else's mixed drinks! :scared1:

Don't worry. Last year my husband and I completely missed the note on the Disney Navigator ( I think that's the name) about Monday night being "dress up" night so we were dressed fairly casually. It was just a little weird at first when re realized it, but we weren't the only ones not dressed up.

Hi Vicki,
My DH and I will be on the Wonder on Dec. 2nd. We are from Roanoke. VA. I am 52, and my DH is 60. This is our first Disney cruise, but we have been going to WDW once or twice a year for longer than dirt has been around.:) Looking forward to the cruise. I understand there are a lot of Vickie/Vicki people aboard. We should have our own meet! Vicki T
