Dec. 2, 2007-4 night Wonder and MouseFest Cruise

We have lots of lime green here:thumbsup2 . Sure makes you stand out in a crowd.

Port side is Left as the ship is facing. It will be the side away from the dock.

Deck 10 is where we usually end up after a stop at the beach blanket buffet. We have always hung out on the starboard side. Great view of the sail away party and all the people packed in on deck 9. Then we wave :wave2: to all the CM's at the port as we pull away.

Thanks for all of the welcomes! I am really excited about the trip in December! This is my first time going on a cruise! I can't wait to see everyone at the Deck party.:figment:

Our first cruise too!!

Being that it is our first cruise I think I would want to be on the side overlooking the port to see the terminal.

SSB hoping to join you rascals... should know in the near future.

Looks like a GREAT time!

Good Morning all

just looked at the calendar

OH BOY!!!!

8 weeks or 56 days from today we will be on the Disney Wonder, well we will be getting ready to get on the Disney Wonder.:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I think I read somewhere that the MouseFest meet is in the Terminal, I think I read that on mousefest website.

Good Morning Everyone!

When I went out for a walk this morning....I too was thinking that the cruise was only 8 weeks away:thumbsup2 We are so ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A meeting sounds like a great idea. I have a lime green stripe shirt, so that should work. I'll have to see what I can do for the rest of my family. I think only my oldest daughter has a lime green castaway cay shirt. Are we planning to meet then just before the sail away party? I'll just look for all the lime green shirts:woohoo: We like to be up on deck 10 too. A little less crowded and you can get a nice view from on top.

Welcome Melissa! It is nice to meet you. Welcome to our fun group!

I am jealous Michael and Marc. I would love to be at DL right now. We plan to drive out there in 2 years in Oct. 09 to take the kids there for a visit! I am sure that they will love it there.

I got my secret Santa gifts for the stockings today but still don't know how many of them to bring along... any updates yet? What I don't use for the cruise I plan to keep for myself. :cool1:

HI all. Michael and Marc hope you are having a great time. This weekend we have had perfect weather. It has been 90 every day. Today we went out in the boat and had a great time. Jessica even went swimming in the lake. The water was just tooooooo cold for me. Reality is going to set in on Tuesday with lows in the 30. Uggggggg.

I can't believe that we only have 8 weeks to go. Time will fly by.

Hello Inkmahm, I only have 6 reply to join in the secret Santa so far. I have set a deadline for Oct 31, so that would give us enough time to gather the items.

Thanks! That helps. I'm not out of the ballpark then with my guess.

The things I got were only a couple bucks each but I think they are nice for the price. I got a dozen so the rest will be mine of there aren't 13 of us signed up in the exchange. :)

DW princess: has commenced the packing process. We found that the average temp for Florida in Nov/Dec is about 75. Anyone have any ideas how people dress in the parks and on the cruise ship?:confused3

Thanks,
Jason

Haven't done a cruise - yet!!! But, we were in the parks the exact same time last year. Take all types of clothing to layer. It was warm for us most of the time and we were in shorts and tees, but there were a couple of freezing days, and it could get cool early and late too.

We were on the cruise last year and in the parks after the cruise, too.

On the cruise, most people are very very casual. Shorts, tshirts, swimsuits. You only need to dress up for dinner at Palo. And there is one night (Monday, I think) that is dress up night for the regular dining rooms but not everyone does that.

In the parks, I wore jeans or long pants and a jacket most of the time last year. It was warm enough (70) to swim one afternoon. I have been to Disney in early December every year since 2004 and it is never the same two years in a row. Bring everything from shorts/Tshirts to long pants and lots of layers to wear. It DOES get cooler at night, except when there is a heatwave and then you're roasting even at midnight at MVMCP (2004, I believe.)

Yes! We were at MVMCP in 2004 and it was HOT! It was super HUMID the entire night. I think we were at the party on the 5th or the 6th in 2004.

Last year our MVMCP was warm too. It was so strange for us Brits out at midnight in shorts and tees amongst Christmas decorations, music and 'snow'. One week later and we were watching the parade at Universal and it was numbingly cold.

I went on the Wonder for Thanksgiving last year and it was so cool that they were serving Hot Chocolate when we got on board.

It warmed up in the Bahamas and Castaway Cay but someone who was on the ship with us went to the parks before the cruise and said they saw snow flurries in the park.

Pack for all type of weather you never know.
