Oy, a few VERY rough days at work here, Kimmy. Not a pleasant week at all. HOWEVER, we leave for Cabo next Thursday and I already know where I'll be getting my first margarita!!!!!

Hi Kim. How are the plans going? Most of out plans are in place, just the car hire, tickets and overnight hotel at the airport here left to organise I think. I am waiting to see if there is a package code coming out for our period before the cruise too to see if it works out cheaper.

My planning is going so-so. I'm still waiting on approval at work for December 1. Originally we were going to fly in early on Sunday (day of the cruise) but after reading so many threads, I realized it would be in our best interest to come in the day before. I am just waiting to book the flight and to see where to stay the night before. If I do end up with the day off we will fly in NICE and early, so that will give us a whole other day in FLA.
As long as everything goes through in my time off I think we will go stay at CBR and then catch the bus to the port (we have purchased transfers to and from). There is a small part of me that wants to stay at the beach the night before and be bright and early to the port. I'm so undeceided right now!!

I know that feeliong. We have a week at POFQ befor the cruise, and I keep wondering about going to the port for the night before, but in the end it will be great at Disney.

We absolutely love Cabo, though it has become much more Americanized in the past years, which isn't always a good thing. Costs have risen, the day of $5 lobster dinners has been gone for a long time, but the tequila ROCKS!!!!!!

We're very fortunate that we can go twice a year. Marc's brother and s-i-l own 6 weeks of a timeshare there right on the beach and invite us down for a visit each year during their stay, mid-January through February. We traded another timeshare that we own for this upcoming week.

It's going to be hot down there, but we've done all the touristy things in the past and it's going to be pool time, margarita time, beach time, and food time! The cruise ships glide into the bay 3 or 4 days out of the week and we watch the tenders cruise back and forth ferrying the guests and think: Wouldn't it be great to be on one of those right now?

Then we get REAL excited about upcoming Disney cruises and have another margarita (or bloody mary, since it's usually about 8:00 a.m. and one should start the day with tomato juice!!!).

Cabo is one of our ports of call on our cruise next May. Not sure yet what we will be doing though.

Just a quick update. My manager approved that Saturday (Dec 1) for me today. It's like she must have known I was talking about it. Although lets hope she doesn't know how much I Dis when "I'm working" Now I can move forward with deciding on where to stay that night. I love making decisions like this.

We went to the Tigers game with them last night. We tried to talk them into this cruise with us but maybe next time.

I can't believe that summer is almost over. My girls are starting school tomorrow. Gymnastics switches to night practices so I figure we could start school and then when we are on vacations we won't have to worry about catching up.

Kimmy (do you like being called Kimmy?) I'm glad you were able to get the day off. What a relief. Now you don't have to worry about it.

The sun is finally coming out here so I think it is time to go out to the pool. Have a great day.

LOL, well Kimmy is the name that everyone that gets to know me, calls me. I don't fit the "Kimmy" mold though. I would prefer Kimberly, but what it comes down to is Kim for most.
Yes, getting the day off was a HUGE relief. Now if I can get the airfare to come down, I will be in business.
I can not believe your girls are going back to school ALREADY! The kids here go back in about 2-3 weeks. That is a bummer for them, but I'm sure they are probably ready to go back. I'm guessing this means they will get out earlier at the end of the year? (which for me, is a much better trade off)

HI!!! I was thinking of you and Tom yesterday and assumed it was Kurt and Karen that you were going to the game with. I remember the passion that Karen (and Kurt) have for the Tigers and especially last year when they up for the World Series!!

I promise (and I'll make sure Marc does as well!) to have at LEAST one drink for both you and Tom.... and anyone else who would like me to enjoy one for them!
