Dec. 2, 2007-4 night Wonder and MouseFest Cruise

You are going to love VWL and WL resort with all of the decorations all over the place.

The VWL has a 2 story christmas tree in the main lobby with decorations on the railing above each floor.

And the WL resort has a huge 3 to 4 story christmas tree in their huge lobby.

Surrounded with christmas decorations everywhere.

It really is pretty at night time.

And some evenings they have visiting christmas singers or bell ringers in the WL lobby.

I am staying at VWL before the cruise, too.

Hope to see you there.

We're going to be at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge. Our first time being at WDW during the holiday season and we're really looking forward to relaxing there.

Could someone please fill me in on Mousefest as we will be staying at Disney World a few days after the cruise.

Looking forward to meeting everyone!!:) :)

Maureen

Welcome to the cruise, Maureen.

This will be my 4th Disney Mousefest cruise and I have loved every one of them.

Almost every single Mousefest meet is free and open to everyone.

The only ones that may be private are the two Travel Agency Moustfest Sponsors that hold a private party for their clients onboard.

But having two travel agency Mousefest sponsors on board give you a change to find competing prices for next year's cruise, too.

The only other Mousefest Meets that may cost money are the Disney excursions like paying for parasailing meet or wine testing.

Otherwise you will get to meet Deb Wills, the author and Web Founder of www.AllEarsNet.com and "PassPorter's Walt Disney World for Your Special Needs".

And meet Dave and Jennifer Marx, the authors and Web Founders of www.PassPorter.com books, like the "Passporter's Field Guide to the Disney Cruise Line" among many others.

And, of course, Fred, who held a famous July Magic Meet this year.

And I think that this year Dr. Steven Barrett, author of "Hidden Mickeys" may be back.

Both Steven and Dave give free tours.

Steven give a Hidden Mickey Tour onboard.

And Dave gives a Nassau Walking Tour.

Deb Wills has a great Breast Cancer Walk/Roll/Stroll meet onboard and a Coffee Tawk meet.

And before you board the Wonder, there will be a Mousefest meet to meet and greet and receive buttons and info on the different meets.

If you haven't already signed up, go to www.Mousefest.org and sign up for the MouseFest Cruise Navigator Delivery to your stateroom list.

You'll get a daily, special, Mousefest navigator update each day.

These are different from the Disney Wonder Navigators.

And MouseFest holds a great Sailaway Party Meet with blowing bubbles and greet and meet.

If you like christmas tree lighting, try and go to the one in the lobby on the first day.

Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and the other dog?...I have a terrible memory...will wear their christmas clothes and walk down the grand stair case above the christmas tree, singing, and making it snow over the christmas tree.

So many things to do.

But you just need to relax and enjoy yourself and have fun and do what ever you want to do.

By the way, there is a shuttle launch planned for the 6th December, the day we land back, at 4.30pm, though I doubt it will actually go then.

Oooooh.....that is so cool. I hope that it lifts off later when it is dark.

Last year at WDW I was on the bridge over the lake the Swan and Boardwalk and Beach and Yacht Club looking toward Epcot.

We saw the whole sky light up in an arch over the Epcot France Eiffel Tower.

Then it got brighter and brighter.

Finnally we saw the shuttle's huge burning flame as it rose up in the sky.

It was so clear that night with no clouds and not much of a moon.

I could even see the two booster rockets briefly drop off the main shuttle as they were still burning.

It was as bright as Illuminations.

I hope to get to see it again at night when the bright flame of the shuttle is so much easier to see.

Let's hope.

Welcome Diane and family.

You will have a magical cruise.

Disney Wonder Cruise treats you like royalty.

And you will be hooked.

I usually don't drink either, because it tends to put me to sleep.

But I love the Bahama Mamas and Konk Kooler and Mudslides and Yuengling beer.

See, I need to be careful. I don't want to sleep the cruise away.

But Bahama Mama at the sailaway party and a Konk Kooler while laying on a hammock on the beach at Castaway Cay beach will be a treat for me.

And the yuengling beer in the Diversions Pub to maybe watch Monday Night Football if I have time before bed time. The Diversions Pub is very relaxing with big port holes and flat screen TVs.

I’m Diane, and my DH Devin, and DD Katie (age 11) will be on the Dec. 2nd 4-day with you guys!! YIPEE!! I am SO excited about our first cruise, and if you knew me, you would understand that this within itself is sort of a miracle. I have always been anti-cruise, but for some reason I am totally psyched about this one.

I am honestly hoping to become a Disney Cruise-aholic (even though I don’t drink ;)). However, this may be a challenge since I am extremely prone to motion sickness. Even still -- I am truly looking forward to this new experience! :woohoo:

That's great. Beci and Annette from MouseFanTravel are great and you should be treated like royalty by them. They are such great planners and wonderful folks. I highly recommend them, and so does Deb Wills of www.AllEarsNet.com

It's official......We are joining you. :cool1: :cool1: We are booked in room 7598 with a late dinner. We actually Booked with Mouse Fan Travel that was the same price as Dreams Unlimited but they would give us a $100 shipboard credit. They are a Mousefest travel agent and are going to have agents on board with a special party.

Welcome Joan. The 2004 Mousefest cruise was my very first cruise and I been going ever since.

And I 100% agree with everything that you say.

I look forward to meeting you guys.

Hello, all!

We sailed on the Mousefest cruise with our daughters in 2004, and had a great time. Now daughter #1 will be entering college, and daughter #2 busy preparing for her finals in high school, so it is just the two of us this time.

Our Mousefest 2004 cruise, our first and only cruise, was awesome. I'm sure every Disney cruise is awesome, but meeting all the Mousefest folks like Deb and Dave and Scott, the extra perks and activities, and mostly meeting new friends who are as obsessed with all things Disney as we are, was the icing on the cake! And for those of you who love holiday decorations, but haven't sailed in December, the ship--and even Castaway Cay--is just lovely. Keep an eye open for snowstorms!

I am very much looking forward to meeting all of you in December and having some new friends to countdown with and share the excitement as we get closer

Joan (Donutday)

Ray, thanks for all that. You sound an amazing person! Roll on December!!:)

Thanks, but I am just a reguar "kid at heart" of 57 years old who used to watch on TV Daniel Boone, and The Mickey Mouse Club and Mr. Walt Disney showing specials of every new part of DisneyLand that he built.

As a kid, I always wanted to visit this Magical Place.

I never visited DisneyLand, but as an adult, when I first entered Disney World's Magic Kingdom Main Street, all those childhood memories came flooding back to me.

I knew that Wishes do come true.

I can't wait to see everyone and to share the Magic.

Hey Ray....wish I had known you were so nearby that night!! I watched from the front of the Dolphin, by the covered walkway to the Swan..you must have been right in my view!! It was pretty awe inspiring to watch.
And, I've actually booked, with Karen, for the cruise next Dec ('08)...looking forward to my first MouseFest cruise then. See you this Dec when you get off the ship and head west for the land portion!!!

I wish that I had known that, too.

It was just luck that I stopped at the top of the bridge and saw a 2 or 3 families setting up their cameras.

I thought that I would just stop by and watch before heading over to the Swan for the karoke meet.

It was so amazing the sky lit up up in an arch shape over the horizon several minutes before I even saw the flame from the shuttle itself.

I see you next year and this year. I can't wait.

Hopefully we will see a launch this year with one being due on the afternoon we disembark.

We saw the night one last December from the car park at the Royal Pacific REsort at Universal. Truly spectacular.

Good evening everyone.

I was just thinking about what I remembered from my previous reading of all the posts.

I think that I recall several families will be on their first Disney cruise, I think.

And I think that I remember that some of you are taking the Disney bus transportation to the Disney port.

Is anyone driving for the first time from WDW to DCL dock?

If you are, I have some links to maps about driving to DCL.

Or if you are a first time Disney cruiser, I could relate my experinces driving from WDW to DCL.

You know, about the exits and parking at DCL and where to walk to the entrance, etc..

Just let me know.

I am a little bored tonight after a long weekend at work.

And a little tired.

It seems to take me longer and longer to recuperate after working 12-16 hour nights to a day shift schedule like normal people.

Ray it is our first cruise and John has become more nervous driving new places as he has got older, so we would appreciate seeing the maps.

Hey Ray! Good to see you posting here and glad to know we'll be cruisin' together in December. We've got one heck of a party so far in this thread. Should make for a great time on board!

We just posted pics from MagicMeets 07 on our website. www.magicmeets.com

Check em out! :)

Fred

Hi Fred, nice to see you again after all your busyness with the Magicmeet.

Hi all. Just checking in. This trip is coming up so fast, I cannot believe it's AUGUST already!!! The cruise is just about paid off...when that happens I can relax a little bit. :wizard:

Yeah! We paid ours off last month (Costco wanted their monies earlier) so now we're just waiting to be able to make those Palo reservations.

Michael

Only a tiny bit to pay off for us. We can't make Palo ressies till 75 days out, so just hoping. Only want the brunch and I think they only do that on the sea day, so I think it may book up quickly.
