Dec. 2, 2007-4 night Wonder and MouseFest Cruise

Yes we had our hair braided! How funny! I had no clue who anyone was. People would come up to me and know who I was. Were you at the table with the awesome looking captain jacks??

That was Dottys sons, they were the second table over to my left , we were the table behind the servers station, close to the wall. I beleive granmaz's back was to us. As for the awesome looking captin jacks ! My DH and I had brunch in the private room with them. They are very nice young men and cute:rolleyes:

You guys sounded like you were have a great time.

I wish we had more time to meet everone. The 4 day was not quite enough.

I think we would of had fun hanging out too. We booked our next cruise for a 4 nite cruise for Dec. 7th for next year and then the following Dec. 5th 2009we are going to do a 7 night cruise for the 1st time. The St. Croix Eastern itinerary. Hopefully you can convince your husband to go on another cruise :goodvibes I keep thinking of what I would be doing last week at this time on the Wonder :santa:

Vicki

We just got back home (finally!) last night after spending another 5 mights at WDW with my husband's family before spending all day yesterday in airports and planes trying to get back to Wisconsin. I was supposed to be back to work yesterday morning by mid-morning and I finally walked in the door at home last night at almost 7 pm instead. What a day.

We didn't book Mousefest's cruise for next year because we're doing Princess Alaska land/cruise in August so I don't have enough vacation time for two cruises. We'll just do 5 nights at WDW instead.

BUT, we DID book the same 7 night eastern cruise for Dec 5th 2009! Yay! We even got the same cabin for that trip as we really liked ours for this one.
We had a great time on this cruise but we've done Mousefest's cruise twice now so we needed a change.

Thank you to our secret santas, too. We had a great time checking our stocking and fish hanger for loot!

It was fun meeting a few of you on the cruise although the lime green shirt idea didn't work out as well as I thought for the first night. Too many people and I didn't know what most of you looked like so I was too shy to go up to strangers to ask if they were from this board!

Is anyone a member of the Vacation Club? We went to one of the presentations and I'd like some feedback on it.

Jennifer

Me! Haven't finished reading the thread yet but let me know if I can help. We own at Wilderness, Boardwalk and Animal Kingdom.

I have a ton of questions! Mainly, I'm worried about whether it's worth the money. We don't make a ton of money and I want to make sure it's worth the investment! Any info. you can share would be great! I haven't read through everything and it's all a bit foggy so I'm trying to figure it all out.

Hi Karen,

I am glad you had a great time on the cruise, as well as WDW. I know what you mean about the weather. Isn't our Wi weather crazy. We left with no snow on the ground and now there is tons. I imagine it was crazy trying to get back yesterday with all the snow and ice we had. I am glad I got to meet you at the Castaway Club party.

In case you are interested, I did start a thread for the Dec 5, 2009 Easterrn cruise :cheer2: There is already a few of us on there including Virginia :) Do you know much about St. Croix? We actually booked the same 2 connecting rooms too, as we really liked our rooms and location on the ship.

I would only recommend buying DVC if it is money you can afford and you don't have to go into debt to do it. I know may people do buy it using debt, but I think of DVC as a luxury item, not a necessity. If you go to Disney once or twice a year, chances are you could save money with DVC. I'd never call it an "investment" though... consider it a prepaid vacation fund as that is more what it really is.

PM me if you have any specific questions and I'll be glad to help.

I found the new thread! Unfortunately, I know nothing at all about St. Croix.

No, I decided not to worry about it on my first cruise. I think I'm doing the Sept 1, 5 night, so I will try for that one.

It is definitely worth it. One of the highlights of our trip! We loved Palos. Just wish we could have done the brunch as well. Maybe next time!

We did both dinner and brunch- a benefit of being a second time cruiser and being able to get reservations at the 90 day mark. I liked dinner better, but brunch was great, too!

There is also a section of 4 boards here at the Dis for DVC topics- I highly recommmend reading the planning/operations/ and miscellaneous boards. You'll get a great idea as to how DVC operates, etc.

Thanks, I'll do that. We've had a series of small crises here (starting with our van being dead at the airport when we got home and most recently with our Christmas tree snapping in two and falling on the carpet, breaking countless family heirloom ornaments) with a ton of other problems in between, so when I get some time I'll read the boards and try to figure it all out!

Now, back to sweeping up glass. :scared1:

This is the story I heard about sunday night. Disney rocks:rockband: . I know sometimes when we have to wait in lines to get through the security line and it may seems silly, I wil be forever bereminded that that Disney is protecting its guest.

ORANGE COUNTY - -A 63-year-old Pennsylvania grandmother was out of jail Monday after deputies arrested her Sunday for trying to enter Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom with a loaded handgun, knife and scissors.

Orange County Jail records show that Mary Ann Richardson of Nickelson, Pa., posted $2,000 bail early Monday after deputies charged her with carrying a concealed weapon inside the theme park with her grandchildren.

Theme parks across Central Florida have taken strict zero-tolerance security measures since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

Disney officials found the weapon during a routine safety check. Richardson told investigators that she traveled with the silver Beretta .32-caliber semiautomatic handgun and forgot she was carrying it.

The gun was loaded with seven live rounds in the magazine, but the chamber was empty, deputies said.

Deputies said they also found a pair of scissors and a locked-blade knife in the woman's purse.

Well I never knew they would find anything with the cursory looks they take. Those with no bags could have anything in their pockets anyway.
