Dec. 2, 2007-4 night Wonder and MouseFest Cruise

We're looking forward to seeing the costumes too. Last night was pirate night at our house. All the kids dressed in their pirate costumes and tried to poke each others eyes out with plastic hooks and swords.pirate:

Glad to see the family's getting into the spirit of things, Long Gone! Worry not; the ship's Medical Center does really quite good work. :rolleyes1

Gramaz, John may come around. On the first cruise, Michael wasn't very keen about costumes, adopting a sort of 'just show me what I wear' attitude. He's been much keener on the whole thing since walking around the ship getting looks and compliments. While waiting for our pictures with Pirate Mickey, one of the CMs from Guest Services came over to tell us that we looked better than any of the cast members in costume. It only takes a few compliments to turn a man's head, you know. pirate:

I think he will really enjoy seeing others in costume but to actually dress up himself!!!!!!!:rotfl2: He is really quite staid these days. People just can't believe he dressed up as Wonder Woman once when he was a teacher for a school party! :lmao:

Hi from the UK. Just booked our last 4 nights, so all set now!!! Going to stay at POP as we need to keep the costs down with doing the cruise. Not stayed there before, only POFQ and BWV, so I think it will be very different. Nice to have everything booked. Just the car hire and an overnight airport hotel this end prior to flying out.

I love the pop. Its def the best out of all the values. We booked WL and are hoping that they may come out with some sort of promotion before then, or we may be joining you at the Pop. My BF that is coming with me (my disney pal) finally grad from college this year and got herself a "big girl" job, so we wanted to do Disney big this annual trip, but with the cruise and the flights and the $$$$ we will need for souvies we maybe knocking that resort down a bit. We shall see:confused3

I hope you get the promotion you need to stay at the WL. Have you thought about joining the AAA and getting an AAA rate. I would check if they are available first though. We joined our AA over here and that entitles us to the rate. We got POP for $73.80 inc tax.

Well, I am now staying at POFQ. It is one of the resorts that I have not stayed at before and it saved us a TON of money. I hope I like it, I was going back and forth from this resort and CSR. I still may change my mind, but for now it's POFQ.

I was just wondering for all the people going on this cruise, where are your staterooms? I'm in a cat 9 on dec 2. Anyone staying on that "low" deck?

We splurged a bit and went with a Cat 3 up on Deck 8. We really like roominess!!!!

Michael

Hi KimmyDisneyNerd,

Nice to meet you. Sorry I haven't been on the Dis boards for a while. Our computer has been down, but now is working :)

Anyways, we are also staying in a cat 9 on the 2nd deck We have connecting rooms 2102 and 2104. We have never stayed on deck 2 before and usually have been on deck 7 or 8. I forgot, what room are you staying in on Deck 2?

Less than 6 months to go. We can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vicki

I love POFQ and it is hard to not be staying there after the cruise. However we will have had 7 nights there before!!! It is a pretty resort and very compact, so not far to walk to the food court etc. The boat to DTD is great too.

We are in a Cat 7 on deck 7.

Hi Vicki, nice to meet you too. We are in cabin 2086 (I think?) I forget daily.

Thanks for the tips. I think we will really like it. I stayed at Riverside back before they made it "one resort" and REALLY loved the boat to DTD. I couldn't helped but be bummed though, not staying at the wilderness lodge. Oh well, I'm over it though, can't wait to go back to Disney.

Good morning all! :goodvibes What an active board this is; it does not take long at all for this thread to get buried. I will resurrect it from page 2 for today and introduce myself.

I’m Diane, and my DH Devin, and DD Katie (age 11) will be on the Dec. 2nd 4-day with you guys!! YIPEE!! I am SO excited about our first cruise, and if you knew me, you would understand that this within itself is sort of a miracle. I have always been anti-cruise, but for some reason I am totally psyched about this one.

We are driving in from east TX (small town 80-miles east of Dallas), staying at the WL from 11/25 – 11/30, in Cocoa Beach 11/30-12/2, and cruising with you guys from 12/2-12/6. We will have to drive back home on 12/6 so that will be the end of our 2007 Disney experience. :(

I am honestly hoping to become a Disney Cruise-aholic (even though I don’t drink ;)). However, this may be a challenge since I am extremely prone to motion sickness. Even still -- I am truly looking forward to this new experience! :woohoo:

Hi and welcome Diane.:) We certainly are a little quiet, but with the cruise fast approaching hopefully we should liven up a little.

This is our first ever cruise - my husband is very anti cruise so it is him I hope will be converted!

We are at WDW from the 25th Nov, so may see you around!! Do you have plans already? We have our ADR's so some park days planned there. We are at MVMCP on the 29th Nov.

By the way, the cruise ends on the 6th!!

(Ooops.....I counted my days incorrectly - I'll fix that in a minute.)

We'll be at MVMCP on the 27th! :cheer2: This is not our first time for this, but it will be the first time DD will actually remember.

We do have most of our ADRs, but I need to reschedule a few. Before joining the 12/2 cruise, we had planned to spend 8 nights at the WL. I had saved a couple of our favorite restaurants for the end of the trip, but now I will need to rearrange some things for the shorter stay.

I look forward to "chatting" with you guys, but now I must get ready for an appointment. Have a great day! :)
