Dec. 2, 2007-4 night Wonder and MouseFest Cruise

Hard to believe that time is going so quickly. Weather in So. Cal. has turned to fire watch. VERY warm today (upper 90s). We're off to D'land this weekend for the some of the food and wine events out here. The Grand California is going to be sooooooooooooooooo relaxing!

Yes, it isn't long now till our cruise. I am just planning our ADR's for the week before as we can book them at the end of the month!!!

That's the great thing about living so close to the park. It makes it sooooooo easy for a quick trip down there.

The next couple of months will be extremely busy as we're expecting a litter of pups next week. Fortunately I work very close to home so I can be running home at lunch times to care for the little critters after mom gets tired of them!

We're extending our time after the cruise so we'll be looking at ADRs early next month. Food is a GOOD thing!!!

Too true, food is a very good thing!!! Where will you be staying? We are at POFQ for the week before the cruise but have to organise the 4 days after. There won't be any problem as yet, but I know that weekend booked up last year. There were so many complaints on the Dis about not being able to get a booking.

What kind dog do do you have? Hope all goes well there. Perhaps you can post a picture.

We're going to be at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge. Our first time being at WDW during the holiday season and we're really looking forward to relaxing there.

We breed and show soft coated wheaten terriers. I'll attach a pic of me with the mom to be (this was at a dog show a few years back).

Just booked this cruise yesterday. Will be DH(Joe) and myself(Maureen). This will be our second Disney cruise. Did the Magic in October 06. We are also booked on Sept. 27, 08 double dip. We will be taking our daughters and their boyfriends(maybe husbands by that time) on that cruise.

Could someone please fill me in on Mousefest as we will be staying at Disney World a few days after the cruise.

Hi Maureen and Joe. We are a small but growing group. We are cruising without children too all ours are married with children. This will be our first cruise and I am very excited. We are at WDW for a week before and 4 days after, so a great trip planned.

This cruise is the 'sea' part of Mousefest which is a gathering of Disney fans, travel agents etc. The 'land' portion follows on from the cruise at WDW and there are some special events organised there. Whilst we are not booked with Mousefest, we can join in some of their activities onboard which adds to our cruise I think. I don't think this year's event is fully organised yet - there is not much on their website.

We were there at the same time last year and the parks looked, and sounded, amazing. I took loads of pictures of christmas trees!!! We are staying at POFQ before the cruise but haven't decided where after as yet.

I see you are going to WL after the cruise. We are at POFQ for a week before but have 4 nights after to decide on yet. Have you stayed there before?

Just noticed - 25 times!!! You must have begun very young!!!! This will be our 6th time!

I have stayed at the WL before and it is by far, my favorite!! I'm hoping that we will def be staying @ WL, as my co-traveling best friend doesn't really want to stay due to money constraints. She would rather stay at a value and spend more money on souvies. I will keep you posted. The other thing that we are concerned about is how we are going to get to the hotel after the cruise. We did purchase the transfers but don't know if we will be taken directly to the airport or to one of the DCL resorts (which WL is not one of). Does anyone know how this works? The reason we did not do the 3 land/ 4 sea is because it was actually cheaper for us to book the room seperate and add dining.

Welcome to the thread, Kimmy! Glad to have you and your best friend joining us!

We are also staying at Wilderness Lodge (DVC Villas) after the cruise. We've done the transfers on each of our cruises and it works quite well. You don't need to worry that it's not part of the DCL resorts for the return trip. You will definitely be brought from the port to WL without a stop at the airport. After you get off the ship and go through customs you will be directed by the porter to the bus loading area. The cast member there will look at your card to ensure that you have actually purchased the transfer and point you to the correct bus.

I don't know the order of the resorts for the return trip; I'm sure it has to do with who happens to be on the bus!

We decided to to VWL during this time due to the decorations and atmosphere that we've heard so much about. We've only been going to WDW for the past 2 years (living so close to the original park there was no reason to go to FL - or so we thought!) and we're loving it!

Well, since I mentioned the upcoming event at our house I thought I'd let you know that puppies arrived on Sunday, May 13. Mom is doing well with 5 girls and 3 boys. In a couple of weeks the REAL work for me starts!
