Dec. 15, 2011 - 3 Night Roll Call.....

We are booked for 2 staterooms its DH, Me, DD8, and DS 4 and my grandparents. we are all excited:dance3::banana:. What are the FE's? :confused3
:welcome: Our kids are the same age! FE are Fish Extenders. You can do a search on the disboards. They are basically fabric pockets that you hang on the door and people put little gifts in. It is really fun we have done it on all of our cruises. :)

Is anyone participating in the FE exchange ? I would like to start getting small things now if I can but would like to know how many gifts I need to get or make? are we doing a gift for just one night or for each night? Does anyone know???

Just booked our cruise for these dates as well. This will be our first cruise ever! It's a mother/daughter trip for me & dd14... We are sooo excited to participate in the FE gift exchange & look forward to meeting other members!

We usually do one gift. People bring them on different days so you may get something on each day. Let's check in if we are still participating so we can get a list. I still plan on participating. Who else?:grouphug:

I second this... I would love to have a list... :)

This will be our second Disney cruise. Myself (31) DD (9) DD (3). The girls loved the FE exchange last time. Cruise was too short last time but my oldest wanted to see the new ship and couldn't wait until 2012. I plan on dining in palo's solo since we didn't want to miss anything and do more at castaway cay this time!

They will want to stay in the kids area the whole time. Your girl will enjoy taking pics with the princesses and your son will enjoy the pirates. Fortunately for you both of your kids will be old enough for the kids area. Mine was in tr nursery the first time so I'm hoping she will do alright. Be sure to pack swim suit in your carry on so the kids can swim after lunch until the rooms are ready especially if you plan on getting there early. Take every picture they offer to take especially if you may be interested in purchasing a CD I didn't because we skipped a lot of pics because we didn't know. They will love castaway cay a lot to do. We will do the get away package u get tubes snorkel equipment and bikes to use for the day. The kids loved most of the shows.

So excited...we booked our 3 day cruise (12/15) today. Cat 5C
We will be staying at the Poly for four nights before the Cruise.
Hi everyone!

We are booked on this cruise too. I can't wait for December to get here. Hope everyone is having a great start to their summer. I would possibly be interested in the fish extender.

Thank you for the tips. I am planning on doing every photo op possible. I figured they would want to stay in the play area.

OK, can someone who has participated in the FE gift exchange before, please tell me what types of gifts you usually bring? Do they have to be Disney themed or can they be any type of appropriate gift? Just trying to start getting things together for the trip... :)

Disney gifts are most appreciated but any gift will be appreciated. The dollar store has excellent gifts for children such as Disney themed coloring books and toys. Candy is always good and easy to travel with. I especially like home made gifts. I only participated in on FE exchange with 2 other cabins. It was before Christmas and we received a lot of Christmas themed gifts. The less people you have the more you can spend if you choose to do so. My kids loved receiving bubbles, googles, and coloring books. Since the two other cabins we exchanged gifts with didn't have any kids we did a gift for the whole cabin which was a tote bag and I ironed on the Disney Wonder logo and cruise dates filled with adult appropriate goodies.

Great, I am trying to think of something really creative that would make a good homemade gift. I have already purchased lots of Disney items... Thank you for all of your help! :)

Just FYI... I went to my local Party City Store yesterday & they had a TON of Disney related items under $1... Some items would have been at least $2 or $3 dollars elsewhere... Lots of coloring books, sketch pads, marker packs, crayons, toys, pencil pouches, bubbles, puzzles, stickers, etc... Make sure to check you local store & go online to see if they have a coupon! :thumbsup2

Also, my local Target store has a section with $1 bins... I have seen Disney items in there recently also...

Checking in.. looks like we will have FE exchange! The only one I have done had like 100 people:eek: It was daunting but fun. This will be a little easier I think :thumbsup2

It would be great if we could go ahead & start a list of all of our children's ages... Just a list to get us started buying gifts for the kiddos... Many have mentioned the ages in their posts, but, not everyone... Please feel free to add to this... :goodvibes

Looking forward to being a part of this cruise. We will be doing B2B cruises with this one being our first, then the 4 night right after. Our plan is to stay in the same room for both to make the transition a little smoother, but we are still considering a port upgrade if available! ;)

Just to be on the Dream and cruising with Disney makes everything all good! LOL! Dec 15th can't come soon enough for us!!
