I just completed online check-in. (I work overnights, so the 3am timing worked well.) Our cruise is getting closer!

I completed all our groups excursions bookings this weekend. So excited. We have 16 overall traveling with us although only Dsis and I are DISers

FE Signup will close Oct 25th. This give us up to 6 weeks to shop or make our items and 1 week to pack them all up. I will PM everyone signed up on the 25th that evening so you have all the details. Get those ideas flowing

Oldest DS is 10 and second DS is 8!!! We are so excited and cant wait. We have been to disney world 2 times and are excited to go on the Dream!

Welcome! Your kids will love it! Mine won't be there as this is just an adults only trip for us but we are planning to take them next Dec. just so they can have a chance to see how the boat is decorated. Trust me you will love it.

As for the weather...2 years ago it was breezy at the beach and a little chilly but sunny. Last year it was very nice and I was in the pool a lot more. Hoping this Dec. is the same.

Hi All. We went on our last disney cruise 14 months ago and since then I have been fantasizing about when we would be going again. We have had several dummy cruises booked but keep having to change them due to schedule conflicts. Today the stars aligned and we were able to book a preholiday cruise. I am super excited!! I know it will just be three days but I am looking forward to seeing the ship decorated for the holidays. Also, due to the lower rates for this sailing, we were able to book concierge level!!!!!! I can't contain my excitement. DH is at work and I am keeping this a secret from the kids so the only way I could silently rejoice was to join my cruise buddies on the boards.

I am also really happy that the FE deadline has not passed. We did this a couple of years ago and the kids absolutely loved all the treats and surprises. We would love to join in so I am posting the required info. Here goes:

mickeyphile- Congrats on getting a deal! DSis and I are a little sad that they now have verandah's for the price of what we got our oceanview for however we can't upgrade as it's only for new bookings. But not that sad cause we are still cruising I will get you added to the FE but note that you will have to get your items probably from the Concerierge desk or area as they usually won't allow individuals back there to deliver items. I do know some host/hostess have delivered items in the past for folks but I guess it depends on how busy they are and how nice they want to be

courtslp- FB page sounds great although I don't FB. DSis does though and can keep me updated.

As for decorations, they do decorate for the holidays during this time so plan to take plenty of pictures.

I did have a quick look at the FE info, to be really honest I'm really torn on this.

1st cruise we did we didn't no aboutFE so didn't bother.

2nd time round we'd found the and joined in the FE whole heartedly. My understanding was 1gift per person in each cabin per night which is what we did and also coming from the UK it took up a lot of our baggage allowance DD's had weeks of fun shopping, making, wrapping
etc. it was great fun delivering the FE gifts but a lot of people who joined the FE didn't follow these rules and never bothered exchanging only excepted so it has left me really unsure this time.

I really hope work calms down for you ASAP , that's the last thing you want with holiday planning

Everytime we have done FE it has been discussed upfront how we would distribute gifts. For those that did every night i did not participate because it can be a lot. Unless others WANT to do this, this is not the way I am planning to do this FE. I like to leave gift up to each individual family (family gifts or individual gifts...your choice) and when you deliver also up to you. We generally do one night or some each night. So thats my plan unless others want to do it a different way.

Hello everyone. We are looking to book our second cruise on the Dream. As crazy as it may seem, we are "foodies", and on our last cruise, we ate at Remy 3 times and Palo 1 time. And yes, it was a 4 day cruise.

We probably set a new record with that. But as you can imagine, booking Remy and Palo are a HUGE part of the upcoming trip for us.

So this year, we want to make sure that we can book Remy and Palo (at least once each), preferably on the December 13 cruise.

What's SHOCKING though is that Disney will not tell us if Remy or Palo are available on our trip, UNLESS we actually book the trip. And at that point, the cruise is already paid in full! So we have no way of looking at different sail dates to see if one has better availability than another, etc.

Since this is an odd policy, we were wondering if someone on this board could tell us whether Remy and Palo are available on the December 13 cruise (or cruises around then). We would REALLY appreciate any feedback. Thank you!

Anybody staying at WDW before our cruise? We're looking for another family to split transportation costs with. We prefer to take a car service from Disney to the cruise. It gets there way faster than the Disney Cruise transfer busses, and if we split with another family (or families) it may work out to be much cheaper than Disney service too (depends on the number of people). Don't get me wrong....I'm all for using Disney, but on a cruise, I want to be there early and get on the boat early....hit the pool and water slide!

We've used Happy Limo in the past. Last cruise, we made it into boarding group 1.

Here's pricing to go from Disney to the port via Happy Limo, based on their website:

Stretch Limo, 8 people $191
Van, 10 people $161.00
Van, 14 people $236.00
Mini Bus, 28 people $306

These prices are the total for the vehicle. We need 2 seats for our family. We'd divide the cost between the number of individuals. Tax is extra, as is tip. Once we have our group together, each family will call Happy Limo with their payment info, that way your credit/debit card info is secure. Prices would be similar for the return trip. We will be returning to WDW after the cruise, but if you need to return to the airport they can make that stop as well.

Disney transportation costs $35/each way/per person, or $70/round trip/per person.
