Love that you were making an ADR on the plane! (Totally what I would do!) I am betting that you were happy that you swapped out the crocs!

UGH, bed bugs again!!! Crazy! Whether they were actual bed bugs or not, you can't take any chances, and really, who wants to sleep in a bed where there are bugs of any kind??? You definitely did the right thing by asking for a new room! Can't believe the Pop manager actually thought you were going to go back in the room to show them! Glad you got a nice, clean room after all! Pop does look really cute, I'd like to stay there someday, but I will definitely be checking for bugs!

OH No! We always check for BB's too... but have THANKFULLY never found them! I hope you stopped back the next morning and asked for the General Manager. If anything, they neeed to make sure that another guest doesn't get treated that way! I hope the trip gets better!

Yes thank goodness! I could not pass up the bear in the hoodie! You know I already 4 before the 2011 haha. I have an older chocolate brown one, the baby princess pink one, the "original" tan Duffy one, and the Xmas Duffy. My bro says the first two don't count even though they look exactly like the ones now! So 2011 makes 5!

I never did till Oct, and I was lucky I came out with no bites! My 2 friends on the other hand were not so lucky!

That's what I thought..I don't care if they are confirmed "Bed Bugs" or not, I'm still not sleeping in a room with bugs on a mattress! I'm sure if anyone went up to the room, they threw the covers back over the side and reassigned it to another guest. Hopefully they weren't the actual BB!!

I didn't but I've typed up a letter to mail. Someone else suggest email Guest Relations but I don't know what that email would be or where to go looking for it?? We were just in too much of a rush to leave and get to WL haha.

I know, can you believe it! Of course once again, I'm not sure if they were confirmed bed bugs or not but any bugs in my bed are not cool so whether they were that specific brand of BB or not..well, I'm still not staying in that room! Let's hope the situation was resolved!

No, sorry no pics! I got out of the room in a hurry! There are pics of them if you google it! We're not sure if they were confirmed at CSR but based on the symptoms of my friends, that's what it sounded like. We never checked the beds there but it was an issue our last morning and then when the girls got home too so that's why we check all the hotel beds now!

Thanks I've written a letter to the GM of POP and was told that maybe I should send one to Guest Relations too which I might do this weekend. I've never been treated so horribly at WDW...good thing it wasn't an audit

I will make sure when we stay to do the check now for sure. Someone on here posted this solution awhile ago.. easiest way is to take the back of a pad (the sticky part) and press it into the small hidden flaps of the mattress. That way you have proof for management and no one is going to ignore a person waving a pad full of bed bugs !

Ugh, I still can't stand it thinking about the bugs! I looked up pics on google to send to my friend and based on the color that the bugs were in the pics and the ones I saw on the mattress, it looked to me like bed bugs, but unless you looked in the folds of the mattress, you would have never known they were there! I'm sure whoever went into the room just simply threw the covers back over the corner (that we left undone) and they assigned it to the guest who was supposed to be in our building 8 room since they were AT 100% AND THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO..

Hi Dis Friends!!!

My has it been a crazy week in my house! Let's just say that the New Years weekend it not go according to plan, there was a lot of fighting, and a mom and dad in my house that still aren't talking to each other Sometimes I wonder when the parents become the children due to lack of communication skills...anyways, maybe it will be fixed this weekend

Bro has left and moved back to FL. It came down to the wire where one roommate split, it left 2 of them, they were looking at one more place in Davenport (south of Kissimmee near AK area) and if that was bust, their plan was too! Well, Wed night, Bro gets a call from his roomie and he checked out the place and LOVED it! For $699 a month (plus water, electric, and cable/internet), they get a 3 bedroom townhouse! Based on the fact that they did a background check, have gated security, etc, we knew it was safe and I lived 5 mins from the area so it was a good fit! He packed up Wed night and left late afternoon on Thurs. He stayed with my aunt in ATL again but this time, my cousin backed into bro's car at 5am yesterday on his way to work Bro is able to drive his car but there's a couple thousand dollars worth of damage including a new headlight, bumper, hood, paint job, and maybe more? So poor bro had to find a repair shop in Orlando to have his car fixed but will be able to get a rental car which is good Things at the townhouse were not as great as what they thought after touring through it more yesterday. There are not dishes, silverware, or vacuum in their "furnished" townhouse (that seemed odd to me?!). I guess the pots and pans are pretty grossed and not very clean either. My mom told him to buy what he needs and then he'll have it for the future...

Needless to say it has been an interesting week in my house!

On a happy note, yesterday was my 3 year anniversary from when I checked in for my College Program!! It was happy to relive it and I wish I could time travel back 3 years! It sill seems like yesterday which I

Now for the report!

FRIDAY DEC 10TH 2010:

When I left off, we were sleeping in our bug-free room in building 8 at POP. I of course did not sleep which is a theme for me at WDW but this time, my mom didn't and my brother didn't. He was out with friends and got a call on the way back to POP at 1:30am from his friend saying her car broke down and would he sit with her and her 2 friends while they waited. He ended up going and since she called Pep Boys (I think?) They do free towing but it took 4 hours Bro had to drive the girls back to their apt and finally made it back to POP around 5:45am and our alarm was set for 6:45am..once again, not a good start to the trip! Thankfully it all turned out fine, the girl's car got fixed and she even let bro and my parents into the park one of our days there!

When the alarm went off at 6:45, I jumped out of bed, showered and sat ready to go to WL!!

I noticed there was no room bill on our door. I called to the front desk, was given attitude about the bill, and was told that unless I charged anything, we wouldn't get a statement..okay I guess I must always charge because we get a statement. Oh well..I'd just make sure to check my credit card statement at home to avoid going to the lobby again!

At 7:30am, I checked Airtran.com for Dad's flight status and it said the flight was going to land early..at 8:45 instead of 9:15

By 8am, we were on our way to WL! I didn't take any pics because I was piled up with suitcases and couldn't move We pulled up and got out of the car and noticed 3 or 4 luggage dudes just hanging out at the podium..

Finally one came over and asked what we were doing and said we were checking in. He asked what we wanted to do with our bags

We ended up dragging them all in, Bro went to MCO to get dad, and I checked in.

There was no one in line..yay! I got the BEST CM ever! She checked us all in and I briefly mentioned the issue at POP and after 20 mins standing there and a billion apologies, she said our room was not ready but showed us the general area that we were in and on the 5th floor, SCORE, my room requests were met! Inner Courtyard, upper floor! She said that she would put a rush on the room being cleaned for us too! I thanked her a ton and she said she wished she could do more but they were nearly full at the resort (possible upgrade to CL is what I'm thinking she tried to do?!). That's when she said it.."I'm sorry for all the trouble you had at POP BUT DON'T WORRY, YOU'RE HOME NOW!!!!!!!"

We thanked her again and drug our bags back out to baggage and stood there and waited again while the 3 or 4 luggage dudes stood and talked before I finally asked for a cart.

After that, we walked back into the lobby and down to Roaring Forks for a quick breakfast. Mom and I both got the same thing:

We also saw the crowds and thought to one another..this is going to be a crowded trip!

We ate and headed off to the bus to find a mob of people! There was a CM rep there who was clocking buses. It seemed all of them came except DHS and we waited about 20 mins and then she dispatched a bus to us for DHS. The CM didn't seem happy when she pulled up (probably delaying her break I'm sure!)

We finally made it!

We thought we'd be close and maybe beat Dad and Bro there but they had to stop at bro's old apt to pick up a roomie of his to let them into the park. Mom and I found a bench outside and waited...

This is the outside looking in:

We sat and sat and sat. They finally made it there after an hour and it was 11am by that point..would we get a FP for TSM?!

Bro's roomie let them in and I used my AP, finally we were in!

We walked fast to TSM and got one of the last groups of FP for the day! It was for around 6:30-7pm which was fine because we'd be there to see the lights anyways!

We walked over to TOT and got in line and found a massive line. We met a couple in line and talked with them. The wife left to get them a FP for RnR and came back and said the wait was only 20 mins so we all ended up leaving ToT and rode RnR with a 20 min wait!

We went back to ToT and found a shorter line..they must have only had one elevator shaft open before!

We decided to ride GMR and found that it was a walk-on too! We did wait one series to ride in the cowboy scene!

After that, we decided to get a snack. The snowman mickey bucket came home with us but we got regular popcorn too!

..and a mug!

We then decided to ride Backlot Tour which IMO still stinks compared to the older one with the residential street. Because of the cold temps that day, they didn't do the scene with actors in it and talked about it and then told us to go to the vehicles. That was also a walk-on!

I got the text saying that our room was ready! It was nearing two which was okay!

After riding and walking through and empty Osbourne lights area, we decided it was actually getting kind of hot and since our room was ready, we headed back to WL to find our paradise of a room and go to the pool!!!!

Would our WL have bed bug friends....????!!!!!
