40 days to go and now I'm freaking out, it's no longer a wait with anticipation anymore, now it's a wait and frett situation.
To the normal person, and when I say normal I mean the ones who just go to Disney without the best laid plans, the ones who don't research, who are clueless to the ADR and think they can just show up Easter weekend and get a table at Disney's finest and even not so finest without a reservation. The ones who don't have touring plans, the ones who don't wake up at 3:00am to make ADR's or wait on hold for 30 minutes at a time with Disney dining just to change an ADR or score the coveted Le Cellier. The ones who don't have a pre trip report going because they have never even heard of the Disboards.

Yes, to those people I would be a big cry baby, they wouldn't understand why I am so upset, because they wouldn't know the time that has been put into planning what I think is a great Disney vacation, the hours that I have spent studying crowd levels and green flag days, EMH days and what not. I know about parks filling up to capacity before 10:00am and when Disney is going to give it away for free!!!!! I might not even get into what I prepaid for. I know that on the 5th I need to make rope drop in order to be guaranteed my spot in the park, but on the 3rd my plane doesn't get in until 9:10am by the time I get to my resort get checked in and catch a bus to MK will they let me in?

I'm in the depths of despair right now and only my Dis peeps can understand this. I need some ideas here guys what do I do?

Keep it the same and hope it's not as dreadful as I think?

Keep it the same and just park hop?

Try and change my ADR's and park days again?

I'm so sorry, Ty!!!! I totally understand your grief and frustration. It doesn't affect us too much, our travel day (the 3rd) was going to be MK which we will probably change, but our first real full day in the MK was not until the 7th. I know it may see like a daunting task but maybe try to see if your can rearrange and see what kind of success you have. If that does not work for you maybe consider doing MVMCP. I know it is an extra fee, and I'm not sure if it is in your budget, but I hear it is definitely worth it if you can make it happen. We were at MNSSHP and I must say it was worth it!! If not, then I would try not to worry, I know it's like next to impossible, but I have heard that when dealing with crowds the trick it to get there early and just be prepared to deal with people. I have heard people say that for Christmas day/week and they say that as long as you keep realistic expectation it really isn't so bad. No worries, there are still options. Here a hug and some warm and fuzzies :goodvibes I am putting out some "Let the parks work in Ty favor" vibes!!!

YOU ARE MY DISNEY ROLE MODEL!!!

Sending you a PM now about the Dr. appt today. Everything went good! :thumbsup2

I am getting ready to be doing Christmas things, too. But, I am going to try to resist! The family thinks I am crazy for getting ready for Christmas! I think the only reason for even wanting to do it is so it feels like the trip is just that much closer!! LOL

Stole the words right outta my mouth!

Ya know, I don't think I am going to need the ridemax now, I was over reacting to the situation, I am sure it's going to work out just fine. I even think that having a set schedule to follow will probably stress me and my travel mates a little more cause we will feel compelled to follow it. Thank you so much though for offering to do that. That was so nice and totally cool of you, I know you are a busy busy lady and to offer to take time out of your schedule means the world to me, but like you said , it will be ok.:flower3:

No problem. The offer is always open. RideMax also has the option of "going slow" and can add in breaks (food/shopping/hanging out) at any time and it still spits out a reasonable touring plan.

I don't think it does Sundays and just EMH for Magic Kingdom.

I do Christmas in July! :santa: Christmas is gooood alllll yeaaaar loooong! :rotfl:

I am usually well on my way into Christmas mode by now. A few years back DH had to put Christmas music on my ipod because the radio didn't start soon enough for me. I think that I am a little bit hung up on Christmas this year because I still have Thanksgiving to host before I can think about Christmas. We usually go to my in-laws, but that left me dad with no where to go (my aunt and her clan aren't exactly the company you want for the holidays) and I knew he would never go to my in-laws, he would just not be comfortable. So I said I would do it this year, and I had to sort of not invite my mom (she usually goes to my cousins). I'm a little nervous, anxious, scared; this will be my first Thanksgiving. Also, last year I started to host Christmas Eve. We do the whole Italian feast of the 7 fishes, so it's a pretty big undertaking. Plus it's still up in the air if both my parents will be there because they are currently back to feuding mode. LOL I'm trying my best to kind of just keep my head down and plow through!! At least I will have the wonderfulness of Disney in between to get me through.

:worship: :worship: :worship: I was thinking you were anyway!
You flatter me:hug:

Oh Ty, you ARE my favorite Disney role model!!

I'm sorry about the whole parade taping thing. Why would they give tickets away when the place is packed anyway? Crazy! But don't worry, you will have a wonderful time anyway!

Good friends, good times:thumbsup2!
Yea, it will be good, I'm not going to stress over it anymore.

Either that, or I'm relying on the power of mind over matter. ;)
Whatever works, right?

I don't know why we haven't met but we have to put it on our list to do! Soon! Did I read you were coming up for Thanksgiving?

Yes, you will get it all back, I promise! Except for what she takes. My daughter ran off with my Columbia coat!

Oh good! I can't wait to watch it! You put me in your book? I feel so loved.

YES, it's totally up to you! It is pressure, but I think I will be happy just hearing you checked in. That is how BAD I'm missing Disney. Yes, by all means, dance naked on a bar. I do it all the time. Just don't make the mistake of doing it at the Hibatchi place. It really doesn't fair well on the feet. OUCH!
We'll meet someday, I have to pass by you or close to it at some point. I was planning a trip out for Thanksgiving, it's the ex's year for the kids but he hasn't hasn't called, e-mailed, sent a letter or anything in 4 months, I don't think he plans to get the kids this year so I am going to just stay home. I hate to get back to work just to leave for Thanksgiving then come back work for 2 days then leave for Disney. Breaking my leg just kind of messed up everything, but it works that the ex is throwing a fit and ignoring us.
I will be making the DVD this week and hopefully get it sent out to you by early next week.

I have decided to leave all my plans just the way they are, at this point it would be more of a headached to change ADR's then it would be to just park hop. I would like to do MVMCP but nobody else seems interested in it so unless I can change their minds I will be skipping the party this year. I wonder if they even have any tickets left. I do have another full day at MK planned so it should be ok. I don't have us booked for anything major that will interfere with being able to park hop so the sky is the limit.

YOU ARE MY DISNEY ROLE MODEL!!!

Sending you a PM now about the Dr. appt today. Everything went good! :thumbsup2
Awww shucks, see how I did that, I pretty much forced you to say I was your role model.;)
I got your PM and I will answer back after I talk to Bo. But I was glad to hear it was good news.

I am going out of my mind here so I am not going to resist getting ready for Christmas early this year, the family already thinks I'm nuts so really I have nothing to lose. I started planning my Turkey day menu tonight. That was fun, I am so excited for that this year, more so then any other year.

Stole the words right outta my mouth!
Funny how we all think alike when trying to get through our Disney countdown. The closer it gets the crazier we get.:lmao:

I like the idea of going slow. I love Disney and I want to see and do it all, but I don't want to get so tired like I did on my other trips.

Christmas in July rocks!!!!!!

I am usually well on my way into Christmas mode by now. A few years back DH had to put Christmas music on my ipod because the radio didn't start soon enough for me. I think that I am a little bit hung up on Christmas this year because I still have Thanksgiving to host before I can think about Christmas. I have broken out the Christmas CD's, right now Christina Aguilera is in the CD player in my car. I get my Christmas Diva on when listening to her.
We used to have big family dinners, but Kents family is too stressful for me, they love to gossip and it has just gotten old so now we have a tiny dinner, more I should say a huge dinner for our tiny family. We hosted Turkey day one time for Kents brother and his wife, they showed up 30 minutes late, ate and then left before dessert. I was so mad, I mean who does that? At least stay for a cup of coffee.
My parents have been out for a few Turkey meals, and a couple of Christmas meals, I love that because my Dad goes all out buying all kinds of munchies and desserts, he cooks a ham and a turkey and then we have food for weeks after.
I am really excited for thanksgiving this year, even though it is the exes year to have the kids I have a feeling they won't be going, it's a month away and he still hasn't called to make plans.
We normally watch christmas movies throughout the day, my favorite to watch is Christmas in Connectitcut, after dinner we always play some kind of game, usually cards, then we put on another Christmas movie and eat our dessert while watching it.

I had lunch with my friend Jen W. Monday and she told me that she is taking Addy to Disney this April. I didn't have to do any work to convince her to go, she made the anouncement before we even got seated and then asked me if I was proud of her. It was so cute. She is staying off property at her mothers time share but is planning to do each park twice. We then went to the Halloween store and her baby girl Addy who is almost 2 years old just kept laughing at all the scary masks, so I think she will like haunted mansion. But it's a bit scary that this little girl doesn't know a stranger, she says hi to everybody and puts her arms out for them to pick her up.

After I left Jen I had 2 hours to kill before picking the kids up at school. So I went to 3 different dollar Trees. The first 2 were ok for Disney stuff, I got some glow necklaces and bracelets for Disney, but the 3rd Dollar Tree, OMG, it was full of Disney stuff. I went wild and got us all Vintage Mickey Mouse ink pens, I bought the last 4 they had, but there were other kinds too, Pluto, winnie the Pooh, princesses.....
I also got us all lip balm, they had all the princess ones with their own flavor, Ariel was Watermelon, Belle was Lemon, Cinderella was Blueberry Aurora (sleeping Beauty) was Strawberry and Snowwhite was Apple, they also had all the little dudes from Cars, I only remember Tater being chocolate.
And for no reason at all but just because I thought it would be fun I got a Goofy miniature that has a parachute on it, now I'm hoping we are on the 4th floor so I can drop him off and watch him glide to the ground. Marzi and I always had a fasination with throwing things off of high places, this will be great. They had Disney winter and Christmas themed puzzles, just the little 35 piece ones but still cute, they had Disney wall walkers, I didn't get any but I am thinking I might get a few incase we have down time at the resort we can toss them on the windows and watch them walk down. I also got the Disney Christmas stamp set, it comes with 4 stamps and some cute stationary, I figured I could use the stamps on my scrapbooking.
I am officially at 36 days, that's less then 5 weeks.:yay::woohoo: it will be here in a snap.

Holy carp!! I have been reading on others PTR's that they have been receiving their Disney mail. That means mine should be in any day now, they were going to call me once it was in and I was going to go pick it up. They also said that they would mail out the ME tags to my other fellow travelors for me, I am hoping I have time to get that changed. Janis has moved and I'm afraid her stuff will go to her old address, there is no way for her to get it, I wanted to have them mail it to my mom's house instead. I tried calling the TA yesterday but nobody answered and I thought I had plenty of time but really I don't. I am going to stress over this now until I can talk to my TA. Her office opens in 5 hours and 15 minutes. I think I can hang on till then.

OMG! Your time is growing ever near. I have enjoyed your PTR so much, I am excited for the TR that will follow! Cool on the Dollar Tree purchases. I was just in there over the weekend and I had to restrain myself from buying Disney things that I did not need. Of course, I don't have a trip in the works to excuse my impulse buys! So jealous of you!!!! (and happy too, nobody deserves this trip like you do!)

woo hoo!! Hello there 36 day buddy!!! Can't wait!! We only got on ME stuff yesterday, so no worries. You don't have a lot of time, but you do in terms of Disney mail, it's all okay. I do know that a few people have said that when you book through a TA it takes a little bit longer, so my prediction is that you will have it by next week!! I referenced the crystal ball then the magic 8 balls and both have confirmed. :)

I always make a B-line to the cleaning products when I go into Dollar Tree. It keeps me focused, if I start looking I'm in trouble. But I think I will give myself like a $5 limit on some Disney goodies!!

I bought 10 rolls of 2 sq feet wrapping paper at our Dollar Tree yesterday. 5 Mickey & Gang and 5 Princesses! Go check it out Erin!

Did you manage to get everything sorted? I hope so  I'm sure it will all work out fine but i'll send some extra dust anyway :wizard: We havent received ours yet either, so you are welcome to sit with me and Jen too, we're in the raggy doll bin at the moment

Hmmm...wonder if our Dollar Tree has any good finds right now???

You lot are getting me so excited about this store! :yay: Good job Den is coming with me, he can carry the basket so I've got both hands free to shop :lmao:

I know, the trip is getting so close, I can hardly believe it.
I am excited to write the TR too, this PTR is fun and keeps me partially sane to pass the time but I run out of stuff to say unless I go shopping or someting.:lmao:
And Thank you, I too feel that this trip is well deserved.

I think you should go see if they do.!!!!!!

Funny you mention the 8 ball, when I was buying this house I kept asking the 8 ball if it was a done deal, if this house was truly going to be mine. All hands always pointed to yes.:lmao:

I love the Dollar Tree for cleaning supplies. I can stock up there.

Yes, I also got lots of Disney wrapping paper. 2 tinkerbell ones, 1 winnie the pooh 1 princess and one Mickey.

It's all straightenend out now, I just have to play the waiting game. It will come to my TA and then I will go get it from her, I told her to call the minute it is in, don't sit on it for a while, I need time to get Mom, Janis, and Marzi's things sent out to them.
I hope you get a really great Dollar Tree, some have good stuff others are so so, I'm wondering if being in Fl. and so close to Disney if the Dollar Tree there is full of Disney stuff.
I wish you lived in America, I'd come visit ya.

I'm glad you've got the plan of attack sorted :thumbsup2 Hope it arrives soon for you sweetie

It would be sooo great if it was full of disney stuff, can you imagine a shop full of disney items that were all $1 - how amazing would that be, someone should make a store like that, i'm going to have sweet dreams of that tonight :cloud9:

Aww bless, i'd come visit you too

Just been looking at the photos you posted on nic's journal - that bed is AMAZING!! Tell Kent he's so wonderful for giving you that gift and its beautiful!!! My dad used to go shooting but hasnt for the past couple of years as he isnt too well - but he loved it, was truely his passion and his 'me time' if you know what I mean. We go to Bass Pro when we're in orlando and I always get him a couple of gifts from there. I love the furniture they have, would look stunning in a log cabin dressed for christmas :cloud9:

Thank you. Kent really is just full of surprises. His career is in concrete and stone work, but his talent goes so much further. Other people have asked that he make them a bed frame as well but he says that was one of kind and in order for it to stay special he doesn't want to make another.
We would love to live in a log cabin, maybe in our retirement we will but for now I have to settle for making our house look like one. The red oom where our wood stove is, is made to look like a trappers cabin.
My Dad loves to hunt, he counts down the days to opening season the way we count down to Disney. He'll call me and say only 107 more days till Bow season, or mussel loader or rifle, whichever is next on his list, and I call him and tell him how many days till I go to Disney.:)

Ok this might gross some of you out but it's how Bo and I are. She called me today and said she is getting a hysterectomy. I was like "Oh you lucky beeotch, I am so jealous."
We are older, we've had our babies, we're done, so why go on with a horrible monthly cycle. She has endometriosis SP? and after 3 surgeries and still no relief from the pain the Dr.'s are finally removing her parts. So we joke about this, that's what we do.
Bo and I have made a list 100 things to do with your uterus once it's removed.

Just to name a few.
1. Put straps on it and make it a purse.
2. turn it into a vase.
3. Make it a bird feeder.
4. Cookie jar.
5. Christmas tree topper
6. Hood ornament
7. flower planter
8. soup bowl
9. penny bank
10. Add mouse ears and make it a cool hat for Disney.

Gross huh? She told the Dr. she wants to return it to it's maker, I assumed she meant my mother, Mom had hers removed a few years ago, if Bo were to give hers to Mom then Mom would have a pair of uteruses and could wear them as shoes. But Bo actually meant return it to her maker as in God.

Alright moving past the grossness.
I found "It's a very merry muppet movie" at the family dollar for $5. I have only seen pieces of it, never all the way through. It's kind of the muppet version of it's a wonderful life. I want to watch it so bad but I am trying to hold out until mid November. My goal is the 15th, that's the day Kent leaves for his annual trapping trip to our cabin up north. He is going up for the day this Sunday just to look for tracks and get an idea of where to place his sets, I mentioned before his name was finally drawn for a bob cat lisence, he has caught them before but was never able to keep them because he didn't have the permit, so he is hoping to get one this time. It scares me though.
Anyway, I plan to clean the house major this weekend. Get ready for Christmas decorating.

I have officially started packing for Disney, I got out my big suitcase and my carryon suitcase, I have packed as much as I can for now. Some things I will need to wear before then but for the most part I am halfway done, I iron everything before I pack it, I have 2 pair of capris, 2 pair of shorts and 1 jean skirt, 6 T-shirts and a short sleeve zipper hoodie. I will add 3 pair of blue jeans, a pair of khaki's another hoodie and a couple of dress shirts later. I also packed my new jammies, I am a hot sleeper, so I only packed the bottoms for the jammies and T-shirts instead of the long sleeve flannel tops that go with it. I want to buy new socks for the trip. I really am trying to pack light.

I was thinking on bringing my portable DVD player so I can hook it up to the resort T.V. and we can watch Christmas movies, but then I think are we really going to waste time watching T.V.? should I bring it? What do you all think?

I plan to go this weekend and deposit all my change into my Disney account. I have been adding up in my mind how much I will have when I go and I think I will be set, There's my change I have saved, my Disney account that I add to every 2 weeks, Kent is hooking me up with a nice set of fundage and my mom is going to give me birthday and Christmas money plus my Disney gift card on my birthday. I won't have to worry about funds and I will still have money left for Christmas. Being out of work I was starting to sweat the dollar amount that I was going to have, yea I get workmans comp, but not what I was making at work. So this is a relief. I can actually stop saving for Disney as of right now and start focusing on christmas.

I watched some of my Disney video footage I took on my last trip, it got me really excited to go. I can't wait:yay:
