disneyaddicted said:40 days to go and now I'm freaking out, it's no longer a wait with anticipation anymore, now it's a wait and frett situation.
To the normal person, and when I say normal I mean the ones who just go to Disney without the best laid plans, the ones who don't research, who are clueless to the ADR and think they can just show up Easter weekend and get a table at Disney's finest and even not so finest without a reservation. The ones who don't have touring plans, the ones who don't wake up at 3:00am to make ADR's or wait on hold for 30 minutes at a time with Disney dining just to change an ADR or score the coveted Le Cellier. The ones who don't have a pre trip report going because they have never even heard of the Disboards.
Yes, to those people I would be a big cry baby, they wouldn't understand why I am so upset, because they wouldn't know the time that has been put into planning what I think is a great Disney vacation, the hours that I have spent studying crowd levels and green flag days, EMH days and what not. I know about parks filling up to capacity before 10:00am and when Disney is going to give it away for free!!!!! I might not even get into what I prepaid for. I know that on the 5th I need to make rope drop in order to be guaranteed my spot in the park, but on the 3rd my plane doesn't get in until 9:10am by the time I get to my resort get checked in and catch a bus to MK will they let me in?
I'm in the depths of despair right now and only my Dis peeps can understand this. I need some ideas here guys what do I do?
Keep it the same and hope it's not as dreadful as I think?
Keep it the same and just park hop?
Try and change my ADR's and park days again?
I'm so sorry, Ty!!!! I totally understand your grief and frustration. It doesn't affect us too much, our travel day (the 3rd) was going to be MK which we will probably change, but our first real full day in the MK was not until the 7th. I know it may see like a daunting task but maybe try to see if your can rearrange and see what kind of success you have. If that does not work for you maybe consider doing MVMCP. I know it is an extra fee, and I'm not sure if it is in your budget, but I hear it is definitely worth it if you can make it happen. We were at MNSSHP and I must say it was worth it!! If not, then I would try not to worry, I know it's like next to impossible, but I have heard that when dealing with crowds the trick it to get there early and just be prepared to deal with people. I have heard people say that for Christmas day/week and they say that as long as you keep realistic expectation it really isn't so bad. No worries, there are still options.
