Dec 09 PTR The Molecular change is in full swing. pg40 the pink puppy

Ahhhhh teenage drama. I remember those days, LOL I also remember never being friends with a lot of girls for that reason. Throughout high school and college I always had more guy friends than girl friends. I was even in a sorority, but really I only had a hand full and REALLY good girlfriends from there. And even then, there was always all sorts of drama. Anyway, I just think that the whole situation was poison. Them being kicked out of the party and leaving was a blessing in disguise. LOL I just can't wait till I have teenagers (total sarcasm!!)

I'll be at POR 11/30-12/7. I still need to read everything but I just wanted to come and introduce myself :flower3:

Phew! All caught up! I loved the Epcot story! DUFFY!!! COME BACK!!! I was sad for you when you got to Germany, I feel you and I could share many hours over tea or coffee with stories of our crazy upbringing!

Now, that party - WHOA!!! That girl and her mother are demented! Poor Reece didn't ask for any of that!

that lady is demented.

I forgot about that word... I love demented!

I was never friends with alot of girls either, I always had one good girl friend and tons of guy friends. I hate catty girl drama, Reese is just like me.

Hi, welcome to the party. looks like your time is drawing near, I bet you're super excited. Take your time catching up, we'll all be here.

Oh boy, I could tell you stories but we's need more then coffee to get through them all:lmao:

I guess more drama happened at school today, the kids were talking about it at dinner, Reese said Bodi is actin glike a girl and gossiping way too much.

I know, isn't demented a great word?

I never throw anything away. I don't know why I feel the need to save every art project the kids did in school, I hearda cool tip about just taking pictures of them so you still have it but not the bulk. I haven't done that yet, it's on my list of things to do.
I still have all my cheerleading shoes from school, I cheered for 5 different squads, I have some of my favorite sweaters still, one of them I got my sophomore year in high school. I'm just a keep of things.

I decided today to start cleaning out cuboards and closets. VHS tapes were on my list of toss aways, who needs them anymore in this day of DVD and Blue Ray.

I found so many home made movies on VHS, I had forgotten about so many of them. One was just labeled sisters, I had to watch it.

I started bawling when I saw that it was from a visit my sister made to me when I was living in Chincoteague Va. I didn't even remember even taping anything at first.
We were both in our first marriages still. I had only 1 chin at the time:lmao: and my hair was long with big poofy bangs, I guess I was still clinging to the 80's even though it was 1994. What I love about this tape is we're not really doing anything but just goofing around. Some of the things we did....

Made up fart songs, (we truly are our mother's daughters)
To the tune of I wish I were an Oscar Meyer Weiner..
OOOOOOoooooo, I wish I were a gacious fart eater,
Cause that is what my Mom wants me to be
but if I were a gacious fart eater
everyone would aim their farts at me.

...................................................................................................................
(I don't remember the original title of this song, but the fart version goes...)

If ever you fart my way again,
I promise I'll save them forever,
I'll put them in bottles of rum and gin
and then I'll set them on fire.

(To Barry Manilow's "I write the songs")

I fart the farts that make the whole world stink
I fart the farts that make destroyers sink
I fart the farts that make the people blind
I fart the farts cause I'm unkind.

We dedicated all these songs to our Mother.

Played the what would you do if...game, that's a fun game, you write on a piece of paper "What would you do if...and ask a question, then you fold it over and trade, you answer the question without looking at it, so really the answer doesn't make much sense, but sometimes it does.

Bo's question was...What would you do if Marty was digging in his nose and struck gold? (Marty is my ex, and yes, he was a nose picker)

My answer without knowing her question...
I would ask for a divorce and demand half of everything.

We hooked up the atari to the old black and white T.V. and made nasty joystick comments about eachother while we played:lmao:

Synchronized toe dancing...realy does that need an explanation?:confused3

The oompa loompa dance, you draw your legs up into your shirt so it looks like you have a huge chest, (it's really your knees of course) and you dance by moving your tata's along to the beat of the music.

cracklin crotch:lmao:I'm even laughing now....I can't explain though without being repremanded by the dis authorities, just use your imagination...no wait, don't it's really not as bad as you might imagine.

We pondered politics, this was around the time Clinton was outed for smoking pot.

Create your own Disco by flashing the lights off and on and yelling "Don't take pictures of my butt." While shoving your butt in the camera lens.

red flickering tata's, don't be jealous. If I were to wear a push up bra my chest would cover my ears. You don't want to see this cleavage baby!!!!!

Big hair bows, what was I thinking when I bought this?

Wish we had a flashlight, we could have tons of fun with one of those things.

Bo: Hey Ty, do a cheer for me!
Ty: No, I'm married .
Bo: Yea, I quit cheering once I got married too.

Bo: Do you still coach cheerleading?
Ty: No I'm pregnant.
Bo: and how did that happen?
Ty: I think it had something to do with the aliens that visited my house.
Bo: So it's an aliens baby?
Ty: No, I believe it's Marty's.
Bo: you believe?! like maybe you aren't sure?
Ty: no, it's his, but I think the Aliens made me do it... unconciously.
Bo: They were just observing the mating habits.
Ty: Yup!!!!

..................................................................................................................
This is when I remembered why my sister came for the visit, I was thinking about divorcing Marty, then I found out I was pregnant and I wasn't sure what to do, should I leave anyway or give it another try and hope this baby changes things.?
I was so depressed I called Bo in the middle of the night bawling, she bought a plane ticket and was there in 48 hours to comfort me. I ended up leaving him 14 months after that tape was made.

I am telling you, If I had a computer capable of doing so, I would put alot of that on Utube. I am going to make a DVD copy of it and mail it to her.

I also found a VHS home movie of our sisters trip to Cedar point. At the beginning of the tape we are at a gas station and I freak out, "OMG, I smell gas" Bo just loses it, "Yea, we're at a gas station."
"I know that, but it doesn't smell like a gas station, it smells like gasoline."
I know what I meant but she still teases me about it.
Then there was me trying some black bean dish, I spit it out on the plate and say Caca. Bo loses it again.

I wish we lived closer to eachother, we laugh so much when we are together, I miss her so much.

Last February at my SIL bachelorette party, I had way too much to drink, can you tell? The jungle juice was cheap and came in a bucket, I had 3 buckets...to start and that's all I'm gonna say about that night, I can't even post any pictures besides this one because they are allll bad!!!!!

My life long dream is to go to Disney with my sister, if everyday life with her is this much fun can you imagine what Disney would be like.

When I finally get my sisters trip, you are all invited, I would love for you to meet my sister Bo. I'll bring the jello shooters!

I always wished I had a sister. I think that is really the reason I joined a sorority. I really wasn't interested in being friends with a lot of girls, but I was really just looking for my "sister" from another mother. And I did find her. My little Boo boo (Donna). Boo boo was my maid of honor at my wedding, and there was never a better maid of honor!! She lives all the way in South Jersey, about 4 hours from me. Not terribly far, but it feels so much further. Boo boo is a huge Disney fan. She did the Disney College program. She's what they call mouse height, so you guessed it, she was Mickey. Anyway, I don't mean to steal your thunder, but I just think that it's so nice that you have this wonderful relationship with your sister. I really think that it is a bond like no other. I know how much I love Donna and how much I miss her when she's not around, so I can just imagine what it's like for you and your sister.

:lmao: LOL jungle juice. It reminds me of my college days!! It is great stuff because it doesn't taste like anything, just like fruit punch, but man does it pack a wallop!!! The frat houses used to mix it in those big industrial sized garbage cans, you know those gray rubber made ones. LOL I can't believe I actually drank it.

Oh how I wish you were able to put that on youtube. I'm dying here, I can just imagine what this tape looks like. :rotfl2:

What a wonderful relationship with your sister! :wizard:

My sister and I are decently close, but nothing like that. We are too much different; polar opposites in fact. She drives me a little loco every once in awhile, so I need my breathing space. :thumbsup2

But a trip with the two of you...WOW! Watch out world!! :lmao:

You make me miss Bo! I love that you have such a great relationship with her! And let me know when we're all heading to Disney :goodvibes

That is sweet about you and Donna, do you get to see her often?

Jungle juice, I loves me a good jungle juice. cheap, sweet and fast acting.:lmao:

Believe it or not, Bo and I are polar opposites as well, it works for us though, she was always the organized braniac, I was the messy not so brainiac one.
My brother used to say that he had 2 sisters, one that was smart but thinks she's funny, and one that's funny but thinks she's smart. I think Bo is smart and funny though.

You make me miss Bo! I love that you have such a great relationship with her! And let me know when we're all heading to Disney :goodvibes
We do have an amazing relationship, we had our sister quarrells in highschool but she always had my back and vice versa.
I will let you know when we all go to Disney, it'll be crazy fun!

Hey Ty,it too me most of the night, but in between working,I finally got myself all caught up on yout pre trip report.
Lots to comment on,not sure I can remember it all.But the drama with Reese...well,I know where you are coming from girl! I get it all the time from Kaitlyn.I can sympathize with you about the worrying by the phone and the arguements that come when you make rules the kids don't like. Also,I know it was hard on you,but I have to admit I loved your story about the "Are you for real morning."...I was laughing so much as you were describing trying to get ready and not finding your socks, your hair spray, the milk being all gone. That is also a typical morning in my house!
And yet,I keep telling myself enjoy it all now, because next year she will be in college and I know I will be having a hard time dealing with that then.

Anyway, loved everything you have been writting. I think this is such a great way for everyone to get to know each other. I wish I had a trip to plan now so I could start a pre trip report! I am so glad though that my trip report is over so I can keep up on reading the DIS again! Looking forward to reading more !!! Hope your leg is getting stronger every day!

I'm an only child. I used to want a brother or sister so bad. Then I got older and saw how much my friends fought with their siblings, and decided that I loved being an only child. :rotfl:

That is sweet about you and Donna, do you get to see her often?

I won't highjack completely!! I don't see her as much as I would like. She just finished her masters so she'll have more time now. But she did meet someone that she is very serious about, and I'm so thrilled. I want her to be married more than anything!!!

I like that you said that. I have qualms (is that the word... :confused3) about keeping my Madi an only child...

I think there's definitely pros and cons to being an only child, far too many of each to list without totally highjacking Ty's PTR. :lmao:

But in general, I believe that families come in all shapes and sizes, and there's definitely no "correct" model. :cutie:

Last hijack... (maybe...) - are you worried about when your parents get older? Being alone? That is my DF "qualm"...

I am an only child and it looks like my son will be, too. When I was growing up, several of my friends were only children. However, it seems like everyone has multiple children these days. Most of my sons friends are from families with 3 kids. I loved being the only child when I was young, but now I realize a big drawback is the burden of caring for your aging parents alone. My parents are in their early 70's and live in Florida. I must admit that I'm already beginning to worry about how I'll manage things properly when they start to lose their independence. I also hate that my son will have those same issues one day. Geez...I just depressed myself. I need my Mickey Mail to arrive and cheer me up!

Well, when I look at my grandparents, both well into their 70s, and they are both still totally independent. They are the spry, healthy old folks that are constantly running their friends around town, doing the yard work at the church, so on and so forth. I've never had grandparents who look, act, or feel "old" so I guess I always assumed it would be the same way for my parents when they get on in years.

But I have talked a bit about it with my parents, and they've each said that they would rather be in residential care than live with me and my family. LOL. I don't so much mean an "old folks home," but those places where seniors have their own little apartments, etc. Assisted Living, I think it's called.

Thankfully, all of that is still quite a ways off for me.

So far in life, the only real drawback I've ever felt to being an only child has been as an adult, and only occasionally. In real life, I'm not an aggressively social person, and there's been times in my life where I didn't really have any friends to speak of. It would have been nice to have a sibling I could call up and talk to when there was nobody else, or even to drive to their house for a hug when I needed one.

I love your Bo stories, Ty! You guys sound like a riot! I'd love to read about you two taking on the World!

I think anybody wit a teenage daughter has or will experience teen drama and girl jealousy. It's such a shame to waste time on such little things. Like really?! is you rlife lacking that much that you need to pick on somebody else?

I do get frustrated with Reese taking my stuff, it's almost like living with my sister again. Only the only time Reese wanted to borrow my close was a few years ago when she said, "Mom, I'm going trick or treating as a nerd, can I look in your closet for something to wear?"
Today, my eyeliner was missing :headache: But I know one day I will miss all of this, even having to hunt for my socks in her room. I wear Jimmy's sweatshirts alot, that irks him to no end, so in a way I guess I am no better then the kids.

I'm an only child. I used to want a brother or sister so bad. Then I got older and saw how much my friends fought with their siblings, and decided that I loved being an only child. :rotfl:
For the most part Bo and I got along, highschool was a little rough only because of sharing clothes and stuff. One time we went shopping for school clothes, Bo and I would always pool our clothes so we would have double, conversations like, "If you let me borrow that shirt you bought, then I will let you borrow this belt that will match that shirt." Well on this one particular morning we both fell in love with the same pair of jeans, so I said, if you let me borrow the jeans I will get this cool shirt to match and we can share, Bo said no, she didn't want to share clothes anymore:scared1: so I'm like, well I'm buying these jeans and shirt, we will both have the same outfit and we will have to clear it with eachother before we wear it so we aren't matchy matchy, Bo the stinker yells, I call this outfit for the first day of school. (Being seen first in any shared outfit is real important in a sisters life) so I was like fine! And then I wore that outfit on a DYA field trip to an amusement park before school started, she was so pissed at me because now her outfit for school wasn't going to be new anymore. That was our biggest fight ever.

I won't highjack completely!! I don't see her as much as I would like. She just finished her masters so she'll have more time now. But she did meet someone that she is very serious about, and I'm so thrilled. I want her to be married more than anything!!!
Why is it us married folk always want to push our single friends to get married?:confused3 I'm always telling my single friends "I know a guy for you....":lmao:

I like that you said that. I have qualms (is that the word... :confused3) about keeping my Madi an only child...
More attention for Madi if she is an only child, a playmate for Madi if you give her a sibling, it's a win win situation.

I think there's definitely pros and cons to being an only child, far too many of each to list without totally highjacking Ty's PTR. :lmao:

Sometimes I would envy my firends who were the only child and it's funny because they would envy me. I used to think if I were the only child I would get more presents at Christmas and a bigger allowance, but my mom set me straight on that when I was about 9 years old.

Well, when I look at my grandparents, both well into their 70s, and they are both still totally independent. We live for almost ever in our family, my maternal GG was a few days short of her 105 birthday when she passed away, My maternal granma will be 96 this Feb, she finally moved into assited living about 3 years ago, it just wasn't safe for her to live alone in that house anymore, it was 2 storys and my granma can trip over a shadow, so she sold her house on the lake and got her assisted living appt.

I love your Bo stories, Ty! You guys sound like a riot! I'd love to read about you two taking on the World!
I hope to one day take on the world with Bo, I think that would be a fun TR to write.

My knee is doing great, thanks for the concern, PT is making stronger, I should be all set for the world. I am being optimistic though, I know I will need to take time and rest but as long as I'm at Disney it won't really matter.
Thank you for reading and for all your compliments.
