So, does anyone know if MS is open today? i.e. is there any point in us checking our waitlists today?

I cancelled a studio at SSR for 12/7-12/12 this am. My mom and stepdad can no longer travel with us. Still have our 2bdrm. Hope this helps someone.

I am thinking of calling and making sure that I am still on the waitlist. I am very surprised that I am still waiting for two days at OKW studio.

Same here ... still waiting for one day, been on the WL since a few days in to the 11 month window. Pretty crazy if you ask me.

I picked up a few days at VWL (12/8 and 12/10), still waiting on 12/7 at VWL and AKW. That 12/7 is being really really 'difficult' to fill.

I was at WDW, but I am back and I have to admit I am very nervous about my WL... Not looking good-I have backup plans but then why do I have DVC??? I guess I will have to keep hoping that some how some rooms are going to open up.

I agree about 12/7 that is one of the days I need. I also need 12/4.

We have been wait listed for VWL or AKV since February. We are booked at SSR from 12/7-12/13 but were hoping to be able to spend a couple of nights at VWL at with Christmas decorations....doesn't look too promising right now after reading this thread!

Not sure either ... it's the first day of the week, but it's almost like people are only staying one day because the Monday and Saturday both were pretty easy to get.

Maybe just coming in for the weekend for the decorations and such. Perhaps they booked Friday and Saturday with DVC discount to save points. Many locals like to drop in for a weekend during this time. Good luck everyone!

Nothing here either....still waitlisted for Dec 31 at 1BR AKV ANY view. Actually I'm still watilisted for a Savanna View at AKV for Dec 30 as well, I rec'd a Standard view via the waitlist.

Actually, that makes sense ... take the Fri/Sat on Cash and the Sunday on Points ... Except, shouldn't the 7th be available on Cash then? Because it hasn't been.

Is the 7th not available with DVC discount or not at all? If DVC discount, then maybe everyone who couldn't get it on points has a backup ressie and there just aren't anymore.

I called MS this morning to check on my Dec 11 AKV wait list and book a studio for my sister next week at the Beach Club. I was told the wait list hadn't made a match. I got my sister in no problem and then asked if I could see if there was any other availability anywhere for a 1 bedroom Dec 11 for my friend's family that will be cruising Dec 7-11 with us. She put me on hold and a Savannah view at AKV became suddenly available and I was able to book that one for my family. We had been on the wait list since January and had a studio at SSR for the night and AKV Dec 12-14. I asked to stay on a wait list for that 12/11 at AKV for my friend's family.

Maybe you are right. I have been trying to figure out why the 7th was so popular since January when I had to waitlist for it.

Well, we had another quiet week on this thread.
I had read a few posts of people calling MS this week and actually getting BWV. So I called twice this weekend with no luck. I even tried a studio instead of the 1 BR that I was planning on and still no luck. It is looking more and more likely that I will be at SSR for the first part of my trip. (Nothing against SSR, but I just wanted to spend the entire trip at the EPCOT resorts so that I could check them out.)

I even asked about studio availability at VWL, AKV, and BCV. Basically they had the same availability as BWV. Maybe one day in the middle (I was looking for 12/4-9) but nothing really available.
