If I were you, I would want to be in Downtown Disney for those off-site days. You will still be able to access the EMH from one of the hotels there. If you aren't planning any park time during those days, then this wouldn't matter. I doubt that there would be AP rates for the 26,27th. That time of year is tough. We are hoping for a good rate on the 27th, our first day before we check in to VWL for the week.

I think only the Hilton now participates in EMH for some reason.

I don't know if this will help anyone here or not but I just changed our checkout date in a concierge studio. I cancelled the night of Dec. 13 a little while ago...

Yay! My one bedroom savanna view came through for Dec 2 sometime while we were at WDW last week. I checked yesterday and it was there. Of course, my mom loved going with us last week so much that she wants to go with us in December when we take our other niece and nephew.

Now I am waitlisted for a 2 bedroom savanna view for 12/2. If I get it, great. If not, we can make due with the bedroom, the pullout bed and the sleeper chair for the 5 of us. Mom slept on the sleeper chair in the living room last week and LOVED it, she raved about how comfy it was.

We're thinking of trying to waitlist for VWL at 7 months. 1 bedroom from 12/9-12/12. The two big kids (14 and 10) think it will be more "Christmasy" and since the trip is for the kiddos, I might try for it.

We're currently booked at BCV for that time.

I really did not think I would get into AKL, or VWL, what does everyone think of my chances for Boardwalk villas, Saratoga, or OKW for that time frame?

Probably not good, I'd guess New Year's Eve is one of the first nights to sell out.

12/2 waistlisted AKV 1 Bed, value view. Been on since 3rd Jan! Already got Value 1Bed all around that date. Planning to swap to OKW (due to very disapponting trip to the AKv last december) at 7 months, just wanted the backup.

Ah ok I take it thats savanna view not standard view? If Savanna view are you wanting a dedicated or not?

Sorry for the late reply Claire L., but that answer to your question is yes we are waitlisted for a Savanah view although we did not indicate dedicated or not, I think they will give us whatever opens up first. It really doesn't matter for a studio does it?

The only thing is you may end up moving if your bookings are for different room types.

I need all the pixie dust I can get since I am paying holiday cash prices at the GF and do not want to have to pay cash for these two nights!

We're waitlisted for AKV 2 bedroom concierge for Dec. 21 through Dec. 25. (I know, very slim chance of getting this one )

We're booked for a 2 bedroom savanna view for these same dates.

Me, me!! I resemble that remark! Every night when I get home, I log on just to see if maybe that was the magic day. And every day, my point count is the same.

vbarry, are you keeping your cash ressie backup for those two nights?

Yes- I kept it. We have friends joining us when we move over to BCV and this is their first trip. I know I could probably change to OKW or SSR at the 7 month mark but I really want them to experience a resort close to the parks and see our "home away from home"!

I hate to spend the extra money since we are spending money for the GF stay but I figure it will be more points available for our July 2009 trip!

I am hoping to get at least one of those nights.
