Debt Dumpers - 2016

I never knew that about canned pumpkin; our pup also has a sensitive stomach so I will try that remedy next time, thanks all!

There's also a powder form of the pumpkin sold in pet stores, but I've found that the cheaper canned pumpkin (make sure it is pure pumpkin and not pumpkin pie mix) works just as well. Just make sure to refrigerate the portion you don't use right away.

Another thing for fur babies with sensitive stomachs - look for foods that are corn/wheat/soy free. No ground grain sorghum. No chemical preservatives or additives. And with high quality ingredients. And/or also look for limited ingredient foods. Some babies just do better trying to digest fewer things.

And bad news / good news.

Not specifically debt related, but I left my house late for school this morning. Was trying to make up a little time on the way in (it's a 45 mile drive one way, on back-country, rural, empty roads) and got caught by a state trooper doing 66 in a 55.

But, he only gave me a written warning - no ticket!! Yay me for good luck!!

Oh yes, we're very particular about food! We have him on high quality food and have always made sure its corn/wheat/grain free since our last golden had so many skin problems.

I picked up the pumpkin and gave him that when I got home. 30 minutes later he threw it up :( Poor guy. He's still running around and acting fine, so I know it must just be a virus or something. I'm going to try to give him some pepto bismal now.

So sorry to hear the pumpkin didn't work.

Throwing up is no good. Combined with the diarrhea I would worry about him getting dehydrated. Make sure he is still drinking water and a visit to the vet would be good if he doesn't improve soon. :(

He's definitely still drinking. I know, if he's not looking better by tomorrow afternoon I'm going to take him in :( Thanks for all the helpful advice, all! I should be home due to the snow storm in the morning, so I'll see how he's looking then.

Down to $500 left on the car. I can taste it!!

Good new for you both!!!

Most likely he just needs time to get over it. My dog was sick once with diarrhea and throwing up, plus very lethargic and I took her in to the vet. Basically they did a stool sample and when that came back fine they just said that she seemed okay otherwise and would just have to wait it out. She was a bit dehydrated so that is just something to keep an eye on. You can tell if he is dehydrated if you run your fingers along his gums. Sure hope he feels better soon!

I'm doing well with my debt dumping so far this year, but I was interested in a news story I saw the other day. It was about the Top 100 companies for remote jobs that were recently featured in Forbes magazine. The news story featured a mom who couldn't bear to go back to work after she had her baby. She instead works 1-3 hours a day from her home computer.

Anyway, I'm researching the options a bit more. I'd love to have a bit of extra income each month to throw at my debt! There are of course a lot of scams out there to beware of, but I feel like if the companies are featured in Forbes they have to be legit.

What did she do on the computer 1-3 hours/day?

She probably worked for the company and after she had her baby she worked something out. Most people that work from home have earned the trust and loyalty. I have a friend that works out of her home for Chase, she worked 10 years and finally was granted to work at home. So you may have to put some time in.

I've never gotten a pin code - sounds like a good deal but probably best to resist at this point. Good call! :)

You can always call them and ask if you have any special offers!

Actually, it was a totally different company it looked like. Something regarding fitness if I remember right. I'll have to see if I can dig up the news story. So far what I've seen for my area is stuff like going around doing price checking by scanning bar codes in different stores... there's some interesting stuff out there. In the past I've taken part in focus groups which pay well for about two hours of your time (I was paid $150 for taking part in a two hour focus group regarding marketing strategies for a new brand of cottage cheese) but you can only do them every six months through the company I signed up with.
