Deb's (solar) - Babysteps to Big Changes

Glad you got to the doctor and that she gave you some good advice. Which you had already followed through on by not doing that extra three miles when you were hurting!

And I am glad you found some persepctive on all of this. I know from my own history/viewpoint, that for so many years I fed myself before I let myself take the time and effort to really think about the things that bothered me or upset me. Its a huge step now for us WISHERS when we can take time to think rather than eat! So good job!

Sounds like the visit to your doc was worthwhile. Hopefully the meds will help. Enjoy your next run!

A quick catch up...was out with a stomach flu yesterday - and in slow motion today. Feel much better though, so glad about that.

Computer had issues so we had to do a reinstall of the operating system on Sunday...it's been a fun week. LOL

BUT---I am happy to report I ran for TWO HOURS on Saturday night!!!!

Sorry to hear about your stomach flu! It sounds awful to have to deal with -- hope you feel better soon! :flower3:

Way to go on your run!!!

HI Deb, I just found your thread,
I hope you are doing well, Run for 2 hours thats great, Hey I can only do 30 mins so far, you are doing great, you should be so so proud of yourself. just one month to do.

Sorry about the flu, ugg.

Keep up the good work:banana::yay:

Wow, a two hour run is incredible! I probably couldn't run for two hours if I was being chased by a mad man!

So sorry you got sick, there is so much junk going around this time of year. Don't rush anything until you feel like it!

Thanks girls. I'm slowly getting around to everyone's journals....I'm sorry I've been MIA. Feeling much better - and my computer is fixed. :thumbsup2

As for me, I'm taking it easy for an extra day, and will put in a short run tomorrow. I want to be careful - but man, oh man...what a curve ball this winter! 3 colds, a fall down stairs and now a stomach flu - but you know what - I haven't quit. That's huge...really big for me. I quit so easily, but not this time. This time I pick myself off, dust off and go - nope, not this time. I'm in charge...and I want this.

GOOD FEELING :cheer2:

Also another awesome side note: my Diabetes (3 years) is now pre-diabetes, and ALMOST at healthy adult! My bloodwork has come back awesome, and I banked on it - I'm no longer on RX meds for my Diabetes!!!!!

The hard work is paying off in more ways that in my hips. My body is thanking me in multiple ways

What amazing news regarding your diabetes! That's such good news. Your hard work is really, really paying off.

Glad to hear you haven't quit either.

You must be so happy, Congrats!!!:cheer2::yay::banana:

Let us know how the tailbone does today for your run!!! :teleport:

Woo hoo! That is awesome about the blood work! What a wonderful payoff for all your work.

Deb, what really struck me in your last post is that you haven't quit in the midst of some serious happenings in your life and that your diabetes is now pre diabetes! Both things point out how far you have come in so many ways. You really inspire me and I am loving reading about your journey and getting ideas and motiviation for my own journey!

Thank you to everybody for taking the time to stop by. It's always so nice to read your comments :goodvibes

I have a long run on deck this week. Will be aiming for 8-9 miles. This takes a chunk of time! It's weird, having to schedule in something like that. Right now I have to go based on how I feel. My long runs are usually Wed - but I'm going to run 3-4 today and if I feel okay, I'll keep going....otherwise, I'll do it on Wednesday....just have to feel it out as I go.

Food wise, I'm back on track. It's not that I was bad, or way off...it was that I wasn't on target. After I got sick, I had more carbs than usual. Don't get me wrong - I always have carbs - it's just the types of carbs DO make a difference in my body.

Multi-grain toast :thumbsup2 , goldfish cracker - :rolleyes1

ya know...anyway -- back in the zone - feel good and ready to take on the week

Happy Monday to you!!

Fish Crakers are not that bad. OMG, they are a main food group for my girls
HA HA.

I hope you have a good run. Enjoy it.!

Have a great week!
Jo

Great job getting back on track with food, Deb!:cheer2: Goldfish crackers are one of my family's favorite snacks. :thumbsup2

Hope you have a great run today!:goodvibes

How did your run go today? Hope you had a great day!

Deb, getting sick always gets me off track too. Glad you are back in the swing of things!

Hope your run went well today.

It always feels good to get back on program after time off. Keep up the good work!

Yesterday my run was put off...something dropped in my lap I had to take care of...so I did my run today

I logged 8 miles today! Very proud of myself, very tired, and will write more later. :woohoo:
