Deb's (solar) - Babysteps to Big Changes

Way to go, Deb!!!!:cheer2: You're almost at the 35 pound mark!!!:cheer2:

Sorry to hear that your tailbone still hurts. :( Hope it heals soon!:wizard:

Hope you have a great weekend!

Thank you so much everyone for stopping by and your kind words and encouragement!

Well, I hit the wall of frustration and said ENOUGH! I decided to just try to run a mile tonight and see how I feel tomorrow. If i feel the same as I have, that's fine, and I'm jumping back in...if the swelling is bad, I'll just walk from this point for another week, but honestly - IT FELT GREAT TO RUN again!

I ran just a mile, and will do it a couple more times this week - only 1-2 miles and see if I can get through it without too much swelling...if i'm okay, I'm going to start building my mileage again.

I have the 1/2 marathon coming up in early march so I really need to up my game and pick up speed too...so i'm hoping and praying that I'm on my way again!

How do you feel after your run, Deb? I hope everything works out so that you can keep running. I know that you miss it.

Have a great day!

Deb, I hope you are feeling good after your run. I bet if you had been asked before you began this journey if you'd ever miss running, you wouldn't have believed you would! See how far you have come!

Hi everyone, and thanks for checking in on me.

I ran a mile 2x this week and feel good, so i'm jumping back into my running schedule - I'll take it as it comes...and you're right, who knew I'd still be going and doing this! I wasn't sure myself, but something clicked inside of me...happy for that.

Weight is staying steady, and i'm hoping this week to build muscle as i lost some during the last 2 weeks without the movement

I feel in control - and it's a nice place to be in my life

Cheers, Deb

I'm so glad you're getting back into the running. It sounds like your body is ready for it, and you'll get that muscle built up in no time now that you're literally back on track.

Just wanted to check in...got my stats - and I regained all my lean muscle back this week! Dropped the fat, lean muscle is back --- nice trade. :thumbsup2

Way to go, Deb!!!!!:cheer2: I'm glad to hear that you are able to run again. :goodvibes You are doing such a great job!:cheer2: I am so proud of you!

Yes! Regaining the lean muscle is great. Wonderful to hear!

I got a 4 mile run in on Wed, and am looking at another tonight. Things are going pretty well....I heard a weird pop, and felt it and my right side feels much better. The left is still funky, but I can still run.

I am happy to be back to it, and honestly - it's more about the discipline..I just don't want to stop now that I'm back on track. It's a good habit I want to keep, and being sidelined is dangerous for me, since it's so easy to just STOP what you're doing...

Weight is staying steady - and don't expect a loss this week, but hoping things shift again in a few days. Time will tell...just keeping moving and doing what I can

I love your "I feel in control" quote! That really says it all. Great job getting those runs in!

4 miles on deck today, and my big run this week on Wed is 7 miles. Not nervous about it...just know to stay slow and steady and i'll get it done....that's a nice feeling. I am no longer afraid of longer runs, because I know it's a mental game more than anything...that's a change inside of myself, a new confidence... :thumbsup2

weight wise - same place, and that's fine. I'm increasing my endurance again, so my body will hold steady - and adjust, then i'll have losses again. Hopefully i'm trading fat in for lean muscle - losing the fat, building the muscle -- but as always - i'm just keeping my head down and looking at now -- rather than next month, or next year...or even next week.

get through today, get through this week...get my runs in, keep my food in check...it's all about developing patterns at this point so that those patterns become well ingrained habits

Cheers, Deb

I think you've hit the nail on the head, Deb! :thumbsup2This is exactly what needs to be done to enact positive, healthy changes in our lives. You are doing a wonderful job at this!:cheer2: I am so proud of you for all that you have accomplished..... The weight loss and exercise are wonderful and so is the positive thinking that goes along with the change as well. You are doing a great job and you are such an inspiration to me! Keep up the good work!:cheer2:
