Deb's (solar) - Babysteps to Big Changes

Staying steady with my weight right now, and having to walk in place of run for a few more days...had a hard time accepting that, but I need to heal and then I'll pick up my running as soon as I can.

Otherwise, everything is moving forward one day at a time.

Take care of yourself and don't let it get you down. You'll be back to yourself in now time!

I know it's a bummer to have to switch to the walking, but it's the smarter decision right now for the long term.

You'll be back to running soon, Deb. :wizard: Great job getting those walks in while you heal!:goodvibes

Hope you have a great Sunday!

I know it's hard, but you have to do what's best for your body. Hope you can get back to running soon.

Thank you everyone for your continued support. It means a lot to me. :goodvibes

I beat a craving yesterday with some quick steamed veggies. I was like, "WHO AM I?" :rotfl2: Seriously, I took some veggies - tossed them in the microwave and steamed the bad boys for maybe all of 4 mins and there I was...eating a bowl of steamed veggies to keep me out of trouble...

I'm amazed that these patterns happen naturally now. TRUST ME when I say that it's a bigger shock to me than to anyone! I've never even been a fan of veggies - but now they are a go to I adore...go figure.

Happy to say I'm down another pound - but it's still walking for me. It's rolling hills on the TM for a few more days and take it as it comes. I'd rather heal than do more damage at this point with swelling. After going through emotions about it last week, I think I finally have acceptance - and I'm okay with it. :thumbsup2

Wow, you are doing GREAT! That had to be so gratifying that the healthy choice came so seamlessly with the veggies. Keep taking the exercise slow and steady.

Deb, I am loving your journal! It is so inspiring and helpful to me (I haven't read all the pages but I will in the next couple of days). I have about the same amount of weight to lose you originally did and its really pumping me up to see you going right along!

I love it that you are bummed to be walking vs. running and that you now eat veggies to stay out of trouble with food. Gives me hope!

I look forward to talking this journey with you!:goodvibes

Congrats on the loss! Your story about eating steamed veggies was very inspiring. I love broccoli, but that's about all I can eat steamed.

Thanks for stopping by, and thank you for the kind words. Reading them is always uplifting.

:confused3

Woke up with DH's cold yesterday, and today is an "I feel like YUCK" day. I'm done whining - but I'm frustrated this is our 3rd cold in less than 8 weeks. We rarely get them -- but this year, everyone around us was sick, and we kept picking them up. What can you do, but ride it out....so that's what I'll have to do.

Drinking tons of fluids to try to flush the toxins out of me as fast as I can.

I work from home - so since I'm my own boss - I don't have to bail on work which is good, but just as good is I'm able to curl under some covers and read if I want to as well.

Down another pound - and just chugging along. I'm happy to have seen 2 pounds come off this week, because generally with pre-TOM i'm gaining all sorts of water weight.

You're doing great, Deb!:cheer2: Way to go on the veggies!:thumbsup2

I'm sorry to hear that you're not feeling well. :( I hope you're feeling better soon!:wizard:

Ugh, sounds like you have a "super bug" going around your house.

But great work on being another pound down! That has to feel great :goodvibes

Deb congrats on another pound gone!:cool1:

I am so sorry you are having a bad cold season, we had that last year and it really stinks. Feel better soon!

So when in March are you going to WDW? We are set to leave on the 26th if all goes well.

Hi Deb- just catching up on your journal. You're doing great! So sorry to hear that you're sick with a cold.

Feel better soon. Hoping that this is the last cold of the season for you. And, congrads on the loss!

Hi Deb, hope its a good day today! I followed your example and ate some veggies today and took time to enjoy them! See what a good influence you are on me!;)

Hi, another day - another pound. I'm excited because with TOM i'm usually gaining not losing. My scale is showing me with a total of 34 pounds lost at this time. It's also a boost because with my lack of running, I was nervous how far I'd backslide. Just trying to stick to my one day at a time philosophy the best I'm able.... :thumbsup2

Thanks so much for stopping by - and thankfully I'm coming around the bend and starting to feel better with the cold. It's a quick one, so i'm happy about that...the tailbone...yeah...let's not go there...not happy on that front - but since I'll be in WDW sooner than later, I'll get done what needs to get done.

Amy - I go during the first week or so...I'm going for the Pricness 1/2 marathon - and congrats on the veggies!!!

Wow, that's great! Don't you love it when you see those results? One day at a time is just the way to look at it.

Deb, I keep seeing that ticker getting a bigger weight loss and I am seriously impressed! Good job, you really inspire me.

Darn, one of these days I"ll have a WDW trip coincide with another Wisher. I wish we were going in early March, Easter week isn't going to be pretty with the crowds! But I still can't wait!

Keep beating that cold!
