You are so right!!! Wish I had known that before my trip in January!!! When I went to MCO to rent our car, rather than from the Dolphin where we were staying (long story, but it made sense to rent from MCO)....I didn't have my travel documents with me. They were in my bags back at the Dolphin. Completely neglected the part of the small print where is says that if you use a debit card you have to have round trip proof. It was a huge hassle......a 2 hr debacle. But, I have to say that both Alamo and SW were terrific at helping to sort out my faux pas!!!!
But, be sure to read the fine print and know, beforehand, exactly what you will need.
