Cute dress!

What a lovely photo journey through the streets. I love meandering through there. When I have a mug and am near a refill station, I live off that tea too! I don't do soda so it's really nice to have it as an option.

I know that DHS isn't a lot of people's favorite, but we absolutely love it. The details are really amazing and the atmosphere and music are the best!!! I'll never get sick of riding the Great Movie Ride, no matter how many times I do it!!!! I sooooo want to be one of the actors on the ride!

Curious to see where you are headed for dinner. I picked the wrong time to catch up on your TR because I can't see pictures from this restricted computer. But hopefully I have bumped up your TR enough that it will be right there waiting for me when I get to my own computer.

Sounds like a fun afternoon in DHS. There really are a lot of great small details in that park that can easily be overlooked.

I agree, Heather! We actually kind of like some of the restaurants at DHS! I know a lot of people pan them, but no problems here! Faith sounds so cute!!!! I remember those days! Very sweet.

Hi everyone!!

I am so sorry for my absence! I just wanted to pop in and let you know that I haven't deserted you all. Things have been insanely busy around here! With finals coming up in two weeks, I have had a ton of studying to do and projects and papers and presentations!! Things are just crazy!! Good news is that most of my stuff is done and next week only holds a few papers and tons of studying! I am hoping to get an update in tonight or tomorrow!

On another note, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I know we sure enjoyed ourselves and stuffed ourselves as well! Christmas is coming up faster than I can imagine! I'm so excited, but the snow doesn't have to come with it!

I will try to catch up on your TRs, but it might take a while!

Like I said, expect an update either tonight or tomorrow! Thanks guys!

50s Prime Time
June 21, 2012

We made it!!

This is just the cutest thing!

We checked in at 50’s around 6:15pm and waited in the living room to be seated.

We love this restaurant! It’s just so cute and fun!

Finally it was time to be seated!

I ordered a peanut butter and chocolate shake to drink with a water. My goodness, this was yummy!! Although, I never got a glass or straw! LOL, I just used a spoon from the metal cup.

Mom had a Coke with cherry syrup. This was super sweet, but very good!!

As an appetizer, we ordered the onion rings. These are just so darn good!

For my entrée, I ordered Grandma’s Chicken Pot Pie. This was really filling, and the pastry part was delicious!!! It did get a little old after a while, but no complaints!

Mom ordered the fried chicken with mashed potatoes and greens. It was delicious! That fried chicken is always to die for!! LOVE!

For dessert, I ordered the ice cream sundae with hot fudge! I was so full though, so I only ate a few bites of the fudge, uh, I mean ice cream, LOL and pushed it away!!

Mom was hiding behind it! LOL!

Mom ordered the s’mores which were really good too! We were just so full, so we could barely eat any more!

The meal in itself was amazing! We love 50s! As far as the service goes, we had Cousin Claire. She was very nice, but she was distracted by a table next to us who had like four separate checks. It was a very long and confusing ordeal. All the while, we were DYING of thirst! LOL! I was trying to hint at needing a refill by slurping my water, but it didn’t work! She did finally come around after the huge group left!

I just LOVE the atmosphere in this restaurant! It’s just so cute!

Resort Photo Shoot part I
June 21, 2012

After dinner, we basically ROLLED out of the restaurant and down Hollywood Boulevard.

We waited for a bus to go back to POFQ, but the wait took soooo long! But there was the CUTEST little English boy and girl in front of us in line. They had the best accents!

When we got back to POFQ, we dipped our feet into the Kiddie Pool. There was a very talkative little girl who was playing in the water. She told us all about her baby sisters birthday party! It was adorable!

We took some pictures around the resort, and it was a lot of fun exploring! The resort is so beautiful!

I agree, Marissa, that fried chicken is the BEST! And I'm a huge collard greens fan - I actually finally learned how to make them at home and they taste EXACTLY like the 50's Prime Time ones! Couldn't believe it! Every time I make them it reminds me of Disney so much!

Dinner at PTC looks delicious! I've been reading so many reviews of it in TRs lately that it really makes me want to go back there on our next trip. I want some fried chicken! And those onion rings looks delicious!

Looks like it was a really nice, leisurely evening. The resort pics are all beautiful - especially the fountain pictures.
