DH has a conference at Swan/Dolphin at the end of September and we are thinking of tagging along with him. The boys with turn 5 and 2 on trip (the little one a few days after) so we thought it would be their birthday treat. Here's the problem: I will be alone with the boys for about 3 1/2 days. DS 5 is on the spectrum (high functioning) and DS 2 has some SI issues and is very hyper, they both need a lot of supervision (aka there would be no way I could take them to the BoneYard by myself).

I will probably stick to Epcot and MGM those days to make it easier on myself- no buses. Or walk over to Epcot and take monorail over to MK. I don't think I could do the bus with the two boys double stoller and a backpack. Stroller is always an issue b/c my older son is 4 but looks like a big 6 year old. I am thinking we are going to bring our sit and stand for when I am alone with them and our single Maclarens when my DH is around.

We love disney but I am wondering if this is going to be to much. We definitely know how to do disney the right way. We go first thing in the morning and come back for naps. We do let them stay up later when we are together but I will probably keep them on their home schedule the nights my DH is at dinners or functions. I know that if I get really fried I could send my oldest to on of the Kids Clubs and just walk around WS with my little one one night or get a sitter for my little one and hit MK with the big one or even the pool.

My parents are talking about meeting us there for a couple of days so if they are going to be there for one or two of the days I am going to be alone then there is no question that I will go.

Any feedback?

It sounds like you are a Disney vet - you're used to going and you know what it is like. Also with your little one turning 2 during the trip this would be the last chance to get him in for free (I have read that Disney considers them to be the age for ticketing purposes that they were at the start of the trip - assuming that is the case).

If you really want to do the MK without lugging the stuff on the bus you could budget in a couple of taxi rides - always an option.

I don't have children with the issues you mention but I think if you can ask yourself whether you'd have a good time going even if you got to do less of the parks than usual then go and enjoy. :thumbsup2
