DBF and I were going to go in Sept 07 by ourselves, but it looks like another couple will be joining us! They are newbies, and I'm definitely the "planner" in the group so I'm trying to adapt the dining plans DBF and I had to include more "fun" things and less 2TS meals so we don't have to pay for as much OOP.
This is where we plan to eat so far:
Le Cellier (my repeat from last trip)
Teppanyaki (DBF's repeat from last trip)
Rose and Crown (to watch Illuminations)

that leaves us 4TS credits each. I'd like one signature place. Which do you recommend out of:
Cali Grill (timed for Wishes on our last night)
Artists Point
Jiko

For our arrival night, we plan to be in the MK area for Wishes after dinner. Which of these "fun" MK area places do you recommend for 2 couples in their 20s?
Whispering Canyon Cafe
Liberty Tree Tavern
Chef Mickeys
Crystal Palace
note: I'm not looking at 'Ohana since I'm vegetarian and they don't seem to have a good option for me

Is there another "fun" meal you recommend? I was thinking that one in MGM might make sense logistically:
50s Prime Time Cafe
Sci Fi Dine In?

Or, should I choose two from the MK list and not one of the MGM ones?

Thanks everyone! Let me know what your suggestions are, either from these lists or something else that you think I should look at based on those guidelines.

Sci-Fi and Primetime are both very good and fun. The Sci Fi fun comes from the atmosphere while the Primetime comes from the server. In terms of the MK night, Liberty Tree Tavern is so-so. They call it a character meal, but it is really just the woodland friends of Pocahontas. Whispering Canyon is very noisy and seems like a better choice for families traveling with children. One of the buffets would be my pick.

Hello!

My two favourite meals were at the Cali Grill and Jiko's. I found the atmosphere at CG to be a lot more lively, and Jiko's to be more relaxed. The filet with macaroni and cheese is AWESOME at Jiko, and the ravioli at CG is the best. I would check out the online menus and go from there!

For all adults, I would recommend the Whispering Canyon Cafe. It can be a lot of fun, even without the characters.

As for a "fun" meal, I've never eaten at Sci-Fi, but the setting at the '50s PT is a lot of fun! I don't think you could go wrong with either if you're just looking for a "fun" meal.

Have fun! :thumbsup2

I can't comment on the signature requests since I haven't done those, but for the "fun" close to MK spot for adults, definitely Whispering Canyon. The food's decent, and the atmosphere is good.
