I understand that Daber (Dave A.) is on his way down to DisneyWorld and will be attending your seminar while down there.
Dave was the first person that my son (age 10 at the time) and I met when we decided to go over to the Contemporary during our WDW trip and "check this pin thing out". We had bought lanyards and were just started to understand pin trading. We had no books or any other fancy stuff.
Dave was so kind...he looked carefully at my son's (also named David) lanyard and admired his pins. Then, he gave my son some pins to trade with "out on the floor" (this was before Disney was sponsoring the meets). During that time, I also saw him give a complete lanyard full of pins to someone who had recently had a bad experience.
During the year and a half or so that I have now known Dave, his kindness continues to impress me. Even though he has a wonderful collection that probably trades for the highest end pins, he never hesitates to look at any trader's book. Every time he has seen my children he always has pins for them. Most importantly, I have never seen him discuss the good things he does for other people on the boards...he does it quietly, just because he wants to.
So, I hereby nominate Dave for a Scoop pin. I don't know if you will see this, but I know there are some folks on the board that see you often and perhaps one of them can print this out and give it to you.
Thanks,
Sharon (in Connecticut)
