Dead Man's Chest-- Review **SPOILER**

I saw the movie at midnight with some family members and I have to say that it is a great movie! Those with squeamish stomachs might not agree, though. I do think that they played on the rum jokes a little too much but I absolutely LOVED the ending.

Captain Jack Sparrow is my favorite character but I found him to be a tad bit annoying towards the end of the movie. I have also decided that I no longer like the character of Elizabeth Swann for many reasons, all of which I will not say for fear of ruining the movie for others. It was mostly just the way she acted, the things she said, and the way it seemed that she had no connection with Will (which really pissed me off!!).

All in all, I was absolutely not disapointed with the movie and very pleased with almost everything.

Oh, and Johnny Depp is hot.

I have also seen the movie at 7pm yesterday, and I'd like to for warn that my cousin who was 9 years old, had to leave the theatre because the movie was too scary for her. Just pointing that out to anyone taking their younger siblings or cousins..

I liked how the harked back to the first movie's jokes, but the rum was a bit much..

It is darker than the first movie - yes, very gorey, but I'm the girl who faints during first aid class when there is no real blood or injury involved- but my 10 year old brother was fine - he wants to see it again!

Oh just to let you all know - there is a little bit at the end of the credits.. the credits are still really long, but if you can manage to stay it's really cute - not like the monkey or anything like the Curse of the Black Pearl one - but it's there

One last thing - the ending.. a very good ending.. very thought provoking.. I was a little at first.. me + cliffhangers = not very good friends... but it just makes me that much more excited for the third one!

And Yes, Johnny Depp is a very hot and talented actor and proves 1000 times over in this film.

This film was a lot darker than its predecessor, but i found it much funnier!
The whole who-hah with the islanders! I was laughing all the way through it! and with the big cages!
and the three-way fight!

For me it cleared up many things, such as the deal with the 'broken' compass!

Yeah, about the end.....my friends and I were like "whoa!" Definitely didn't see that coming.

I didn't know about whatever is at the end of the credits, I'll have to check it out if I see it again!

And for those of you with squeamish stomachs (like me), there are a few parts (and characters) that are disgusting, but overall, I've seen worse.

omg i dont know if i like the GIGANTIC cliffhanger, like i think it was too much, there needed to be some resolution like the last one where they gave us some answers but left room for another movie.

also i felt like the character jack sparrow was more of a bad guy in this film, like he was the same, but like he didnt care about anyone more then last time. ((and he stole the heart away from will lol ))

and omg i am so mad that elizabeth kissed jack, that got me sooo mad, and after all the time that will had been looking for her.

oo and actually i didnt think there was enough rum jokes, or signifigant quotes that you remember after you leave the movie theatre.

but although that seemed really negative i really did LOVE the movie, it was so awesome especially the scene on the island with the triple sword fight while elizabeth and the two other pirates (omg cant think of their names) but that i think is my favorite scene

so anyway lol (sry bout the gigantic posst) this one def. lived up to the pirates of the caribbean title no matter what anyone says lol and i cannot wait till the 3rd one

ps:i was reading an article in entertainment weekly and they were talking to the director of potc and he was like after potc3 there will never be another one but then i think it was johnny depp who said that never say never for a potc4 .... so that sounded a little interesting but i hope it is not to big of a dream to dream for lol

i didn't know the movie was gonna end in a cliffhanger so at the end when the movie abruptly stopped,

My friend and I just kind of stared at the screen and just about had heart attacks and died from that ending x__X The entire group I with all said they expected like it to go on for another hour or so.. such an unexpected ending!

But on the plus, I always did feel bad that Barbossa never got his apple in the first movie.. so the first things that popped into my head were "AH! What explanation do they have for him being alive! but yay, at least he got to eat his apple!" and by the time the thoughts processed they were rolling the credits! x__X

OMG, the cliffhanger!!! The lights in the theatre came on and I was just sitting there, my jaw basically to the floor! OMG, I cannot wait till the third movie!!! When is it coming out? Next summer maybe? And how is Barbossa alive? He didn't look too good when we left him in the first movie, to say the least . . .

I only have one criticism:

I think they made Jack just a little too, em, goofy or something in this one. Don't get me wrong, I loved the movie, but he had the chance for some really great moments, but he was always funny or whatever. He was just the right balance in the first. His last scene with the "beasty" was brilliant, though. Just brilliant.

Yes that did happen in the scene on the beach but it was only because at first Jack was sitting on the treasure and then it pointed to Elizabeth because she was then sitting on the treasure after Jack.

I LOVED Jack in this movie. I honestly didn't find him annoying nor did i find him to goofy.
