Last year I bought a non-expiring hopper ticket for my niece and she still has days left on that ticket. She will join me next month but I have purchased a special 4 day non-hopper ticket for her to use on this trip. On MDE I see that I can de-activate a ticket, so if I want her Magic Band to use the 4 day ticket it seems like I can de-activate the non-expiring ticket then re-activate that ticket when the 4 day ticket is used up next month. If that will work I would rather do that than stand in a line at Guest Relations to have GR prioritize the tickets. Has anyone tried de-activating and then re-activating in order to specify which ticket is used by a Magic Band?

Create a fake name in your DME and assign your ticket to that name.
Later, reassign the ticket(s.)

Robo, the non-expiring ticket can't be assigned to someone else because it has already been partially used.

You can deactivate that partially used ticket and then reactivate it at any time. I have some tickets in my MDE that I won't be using for a few months and in the MagicBand/Card area it is giving me the deactivate option.

But have you done it? I want to make sure it will work like I think AND not affect FastPass reservations.

MagicBands can also be deactivated/activated without any problem and I have done that.

You won't lose your FPs because you have the new tickets linked in MDE. As long as an equal amount of ticket entitlements are linked in MDE, your FPs remain. FPs aren't linked to specific tickets it's just that the total days of FPs have to match the total days of ticket entitlements in MDE.

*didn't know you were concerned about booked FPs as it's not in your OP.
