My friend came up with a fun suggestion, and so my daughter's new summer project is.....to find out about different cultures.
As people sign up to help her, I will list the different cultures that have been granted, but you are more than welcome to take the same culture.
We are asking participants to write/type a letter to tell us more about their heritage/culture, the different foods that are served for an everyday meal, the different holidays and foods that are served during those special occassions, and anything else they wish to add. Drawing a picture.....anything.
We will start this project now so that we have something to look forward to once summer starts-towards the ending of next month, and will continue throughout the summer.
If you are able to help, please post here, or send me a pm, and I will send you our address. I ask that only those that will follow through set up. We have had situations, and heard of others having situations in which their child or they themselves as a child were put down since people promised to help them/their child with a project, and did not follow through, and that makes it hard on a child.
