DDP with Pin Code??!?!

I'm so confused because I booked a WL CL room for 9/16-9/24 with my pin code and was told by the CM that I can add tickets to the dining plan later, but could not get the free DP if it was offered because I couldnt combine offers. However, when I called back to make my deposit another CM told me I couldn't get the DP at all because it was a room only reservation code! This code saved me about $2,000 which is great but we really wanted to do the DDP as we love doing it every year

can anyone help me at all in telling me what to do? I'm so confused with all the CM's not having the same information

I wouldn't trust what you hear verbally in this regard. Get it in writing, on Disney letterhead, or add the Dining Plan now and see it on your confirmation. Otherwise, consider it like, "Maybe you can add the Dining Plan later..."

I think there are various codes out there and if you call back, may be you could find a CM who will change your reservation from room only to a package with dining. I think there are different codes that the CMs have to enter depending on whether it's a room only, package or package with dining. For you to add dining later you have to have a package, you can't add it to room only. They would have to cancel your room only ressie and make up a new one for the package. I would call back and see if someone could do that for you while keeping your discount.

I just booked a room with the same code. This is what I was told.. Its a room only discount code but you can make it a package. The tickets and DDP will be rack rate and only the room is discounted. I just booked the room for now because we already have tickets and I was not sure if the dining plan was worth it to us. I was told I could change it later with no problem.

We were fortunate to receive the 40% off room pin code two weeks ago. When we booked it we were able to add on the DDP. If and when free dining comes out (which I really do not think will be happening), I would have to cancel my reservation and make another one with free dining. You cannot do both.

Call again and let them know you intended to have a package. Ask them if they can rebook you as a package. You can get that with tickets and dining. It will have to be rebooked to get into the system for packages instead of the one for room only's. If free dining comes you can change your reservation back to the rack rate and use free dining if it comes but for an 8 night stay to do better than the 2000 you saved, your dining plan would have to be costing you 250 per night to break even (thats more than 6 adults worth)...I'd bet your will be the better savings. Hopefully they will still have availability.

Disney has to send it to you either by email or snail mail. Some people have reported calling reservations and asking if they have a code associated with your name or address but others have said you stilll need the pin code and the code may not be honored if you don't have it at check in.

To the op, Add up what it will cost you to eat. To save $2000.00 is a lot of food. I would not let that go unless I knew how much a package was going to cost me ahead of time. You must of had a great code!!!!

ok so I called back and got a different CM who was much friendlier and she took my pin code and applied it to a new ressie with dining and my park tickets so I got the discount on the room but still got the tickets
