I noticed that you get 2 snack credits per day...Is this new? I thought you only got 1 snack credit per day.
Also, can you substitute dessert choice for either a side salad, a cup of soup, or a fruit plate?? TIA

Yes, it's new this year. They've added a snack credit, but taken away the QS dessert, so it's pretty much a wash, $ wise. What it does, is provide you more options.

Some TS restaurants may allow you to sub your dessert for what you've listed, you'll just have to ask. If you were asking about QS, refer to my answer above.

Maybe. At some TS restaurants you might be able to sub something in place of the dessert. Not all TS restaurants will have a substitution available, but if they do, it will be something of their choice. Most frequently it has been a small side salad, a cup of soup,or a veggie dish. It will not be something from the menu.

I'm glad I read this, I thought they were adding an extra snack...they increased the price about 5 dollars when they changed the plan so it was confusing. I think the price has increased again slightly in the last few months. To make it more confusing, when I look online to add the dining plan and click on benefit details is still says dessert with the quick service...but only 1 snack. In the high level description it says 1 QS and 2 snacks, doesn't clarify that the extra snack comes from your QS dessert.

Has anyone tried the new format and verified that there is no dessert with QS?

It's been no dessert on QS and 2 snacks since about Jan 15 and that is how everyone has experienced it since then.

Well, it's not been very well communicated then. I've been 3 different times since then all on the dining plan and had no idea. I just ordered a dessert with the quick service when, if this is correct, I could have passed on some that I didn't want and gotten a snack later.

If you are talking about a TS dessert, you can always ask. The brochure says substitutions MAY be available. It is up to each restaurant (and sometimes differs from day-to-day at the same restaurant) what, if anything, they will allow you to have instead of a dessert.
