Hi All,

I'm trying to work around possible availability issues for a three week stay.

I want the basic DDP for all 3 week but won't use them all up day to day... so I can book signature dinning towards the end of my stay.

If I stayed at AKL for week 1 and the BWV for weeks 2 & 3.... if I didn't use any credits during week 1 at AKL would they still be available during weeks 2 & 3?

From what I understand - no. Your credits from the first stay would expire midnight on your AKL checkout day. But, maybe you might consider the Deluxe dining plan for your second leg, which would give you three TS a day? Two weeks on the deluxe plan might be a little more expensive than 3 weeks on the basic plan, but it would give you more TS meals if that is what you are looking for. Just a thought....

That is correct. Your credits from your AKV stay would expire at midnight of check-out day. You would only be able to use them on the first day of your BWV stay.

The PP also offered the advice of the DxDDP added to your BWV stay. Here's how the two would compare:

3 weeks on DDP:
$1082.34
21 TS credits
21 CS credits
21 snacks
mug

2 weeks on DxDDP:
$1197.28
42 credits (to be used at TS or CS locations)
84 snacks
mug

The cost doesn't seem much different at first, but the problem with the second option is you will still have to pay for your food for the first week, so it might be VERY more expensive to do it that way.

Why would you not want to spread out the signatures during the 3-week period? This way the DDP would work if you got it for the 3-week period.

Thanks for all the help!

You are right... but I've found our plan doesn't always work out perfectly. It could work with extra planning I guess.

Of course, you could always cook in your room while at AKV to help save some costs. I also got to thinking that if you did the DDP for the full 3 weeks and did CS for lunch and mostly signatures for dinner, there would be several days where you would not have credits for dinner, so it would probably all even out. One advantage of the DxDDP is that you get an appetizer.

Maybe if you shared some more details of your plans, we could help you more.

Thanks for the offer for more help!

We are used to the DDP on two week trips but are renting points for the first time BUT have to risk our resort not being available.... hence the possibility of a split stay. (Trying to get a studio at BWV at 7 months).

We find our QS credits don't get used up very quickly (and snack credits) so don't want to lose anything.

My wife hasn't confirmed a list of dinning locations yet
