I'm planning my first Disney trip without my Parents! Just me and Dbf. I'm so used to them making the reservations that I have a couple questions.

1) When Making Adr's if you are making them at CRT I know if you aren't on the DDP you have to pay for it up front, if you are do you still have too?

2) That hold they put on your credit card in case of no-showing, do they do that for people on the DDP?

3) I know Le Cellier is a 2 ts credit restuarunt, but is it for lunch? Or just Dinner. Or Both?

4) It's my DBF's first real trip to Disney World, what are the Must see Character Dinings, and which can be skipped?

Thank you :)

1) When Making Adr's if you are making them at CRT I know if you aren't on the DDP you have to pay for it up front, if you are do you still have too? If you have the DDP there will be a place on the online reservation page where you can input the information about your DDP. Near the end of the res process it will give you the total cost that is to be deducted. If this is more than the standard $10 per person no show fee, then the DDP info was not captured. This has happened to some people so they recommend that you call to make this reservation.

2) That hold they put on your credit card in case of no-showing, do they do that for people on the DDP? The no show fee has no connection to the dining plan. Anyone making a reservation at one of the restaurants on the cc guarantee list will be charged if they do not cancel within the allowable timeframe or fails to show up.3)

I know Le Cellier is a 2 ts credit restuarunt, but is it for lunch? Or just Dinner. Or Both? 2 credits at dinner, 1 credit at lunch.

4) It's my DBF's first real trip to Disney World, what are the Must see Character Dinings, and which can be skipped? I haven't done many of the charater meals so I'll let others make recommendations.

Thank you :)

1. If on the ddp, they can just apply your credits without prepaying. The online system is not always reliable though, so you may have to call.
2. Yes, the restaurants that require the credit card hold ad cancellation policy, applies even if on the ddp.
3. Le Cellier dinner is 2 credits, lunch is 1 credit.
4. My very humble opinion, if not traveling with young children, all the character meals can be skipped. Food ranges from bad to ok (none quite reach good but Crystal Palace is ok) and I don't particularly need my picture with lots of characters. As an adult, if I really want to meet a couple characters, it's easy enough in the parks. (for young children, it's a nice chance to get pictures with lots of characters and no lines).
There are some adults who will disagree with me, and may find merit in character meals for adults.
