I hope someone can answer this question for me:

Is the free dining deal offered to the public the same as one offered for Disney Visa holders? I thought I remembered a post about free dining for visa holders from Sept to Dec last year and wondered if the time was longer for Visa holders. My family is booked for December and would love free dining.

I believe it is, the difference is that the Visa holders are offered the deal a week or so before the general public.

If I remember correctly, the free dining offer for December that Disney Visa holders got last year was never offered to the general public. Of course, I could be wrong!

Since 2005, Disney has been offering the Free Dining promo for Magic Your way packages with a 3 night minimum and a 14 day maximum (Basic Dining Plan; 1 TS, 1 CS, 1 Snack per person per night) during the last part of August until the end of September, give or take a few days. The free dining offer is usually announced during the first week of April. The first couple of days it will only be open to Disney Visa holders and then will open up to the general public. The booking dates for 2008 for the general public were August 24 through September 20 and you had to book by June 22 to receive the FD offer.

Last September Disney Destinations sent out some emails that offered free dining pin codes for select dates in October, November and December. The only December dates were December 14 - 20. If you checked in by the 20th you could get the free dining offer through the 31st. These emails were random, not for the general public, and the codes were non-transferrable. About two weeks after that Disney Visa sent out a free dining code for their card holders for the same select dates in October, November and December. Those pin codes were not part of the regular Fall Dining promotion and there was no general public fd code offered for any of those dates.
