So I know that you have to book the DDP for the entire length of your stay. What if I am staying in 2 different resorts during one vacation? We will be staying at one DVC resort for 3 nights, and then moving to AKV for 5 nights. We only want to get the DDP for the 5 nights that we are at AKV. Will they allow that, or is the whole trip considered one stay? Thank you!

A "stay" means check-in to check-out. Your 3-night reservation is one stay and your 5-night reservation is a second stay. You will be able to book for either or both of those reservations, as you wish. You'll just need to book for the entire 3-night stay and/or the entire 5-night stay. If you only want to book the DDP for the 5-night stay you will have no problem doing this.

We only book DDP when we split stay. You might think about getting the DDP for the first part of your stay. The credits are good until midnight of your check out day. That means that you could have 4 days to eat 3 days worth of credits. We like to space all that eating out a bit.

Do realize that if you get if for the 5 days, you'll only be able to use it while at AKV. The DDP would be good from when you check in at AKV until MN on the day you check out. So one option is to go early and check in, they'll give you a number to call to see if the room is ready later. That gives you an extra part of the day to use the DDP.

I whole heartedly agree with Dean. Make sure you check in as early as you possibly can - heck, even before you officially check out of your first resort. That way you can even use your DDP for a late breakfast!

We juggled the dining plan last year and you honestly don't want to try to cram in the extra meals at the end. Although someone had the genious idea to use the leftover snacks to get prepackaged Mickey Rice Krispy treats to take home as souveniers and thank-you gifts.

Heck I usually go over and check in to a new resort about 6 am, so you could use it for any breakfast you wanted to.
