DDP Question

We are planning a trip for November and are still thinking about buying DVC, but even if we don't buy we are still going and will rent! My question is all of the flights from our local airport get in around 10pm. How does this work for dining? Would we still have to get dining for that first night even though there is no chance for eating or could it start on the next day?

Yes, if it's part of a single DVC reservation. You would still have the coupons to use for the other days. You could arrive at midnight and depart at 5 am and it would not affect what the rules are. You must buy it for the number of nights of your stay and ALL in the party no matter your personal situation including time lost on arrival or departure or if you have people coming to stay for a few of days but not staying the entire time. It's per reservation so you could get two reservations but might have to move units and you would likely have to check out then in again.

As said DDP is for each night of your stay. One way to use up the TS credits is to eitehr book a signature dinner which requires two TS credits or to go to a TS breakfast and a TS dinner in the same day.

The dining credits are good until midnight of your check-out day. Depending on your flight time, you can eat breakfast or lunch using your DDP credits.

You could always get a one night reservation for that first night at a Value resort, then move over to the DVC resort the next morning with the DDP. Lots of members do that as well. You'd still be able to use ME if you needed that.

However, if you are not a member and do not currently have a Nov reservation, you may be out of luck if you are planning on renting from a member. You need to make up your mind very quickly and post your request ASAP.
