DDP Dining Review for 13 day trip - Day #10 Cont'd & Day #11 Updated 11/3/13

It really sounds like AoA has a great food court based on various review. And WPE looks delish based on what y'all ordered!

Thanks, RGirl! I am very excited for AoA food court for our next trip and WPE! I have a hard time trying new restaurants or different dishes, so it was great to have two new places be so wonderful!

Breakfast at Everything Pop food court
This morning we shared the chocolate chip pancake platter with bacon, sausage, and a tiny fruit cup. We also shared a bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast bagel.

Both of these were solid breakfast fare, but not amazing or outstanding. The breakfast bagel comes in a foil wrapper, which makes it very easy to eat in line while waiting for the next bus. We did not do that this morning, since we had the pancakes, but this worked well other mornings. We rated our breakfast a 3 out of 5 for everything.

Be Our Guest - a 2nd lunch adventure
Since I loved the Croque Monsieur and the Triple Chocolate Cupcake so much the first time this trip, I talked hubby into going again. Here is my lunch for this day - no surprise, the Croque Monsieur and Triple Chocolate Cupcake. The questions are: were these as good; did they live up to my expectations from earlier in the week; could BOG knock it out of the park again; and was it really that good??????

And the answer is...Yes, Yes, Yes, and Yes! Oh, how I love this sandwich and cupcake. I am drooling right now thinking of it and realizing I will not have them for another 220 days! I rated them each a 5 out of 5 (I would have given more if possible, heck, I threw in a 6th alien to prove my point).

My hubby decided to try something different, which is typical - I, on the other hand, find something and stick with it. He tried the Carved Turkey Sandwich and the Chocolate Cream Puff. Our daughter tried the kids' Les Macaronis Maurice (pasta with sauce) and fries instead of mixed vegetables - it is her vacation so I let her splurge.

They each said their food was good, but nothing like mine. Hubby gave his sandwich and dessert a 3 of out 5.

Hmm - I guess we will need to try BoG for lunch. Loved that atmosphere and meeting the Beast at dinner, but the rest of the experience? Well, not quite as great….

We love lunch at BOG, but I want to try dinner for the whole experience, especially to meet the beast. I am going to try to get an ADR for dinner during our June 2014 trip. I just wish I could get the Croque Monsieur for diner - I would be in heaven if that could ever happen!

Day #10 Cont'd - Characterpoolza at Hollywood Studios
We hopped over to Hollywood Studios for a bit to eat before catching our first Characterpoolza! We stopped at Pizza Planet to eat. We each had a cheese pizza with a Caesar side salad. We also had the cappuccino cupcakes for a change of pace, since we had already a bunch of the Darth Vader cupcakes this trip. I cannot find a picture, but our daughter had the Power Pack, which she loved.

Overall, we gave Pizza Planet a 3 of out 5. We like Disney pizza and they were good, not Via Napoli, but good for this quick meal.

We had an amazing time at our first Characterpoolza - we met 10 characters in less than 20 minutes! It is a must do for our next trip. After this super M&G, we shared a little treat, this beauty...

It was amazing...the three of us shared it and loved it - 5 out of 5 rating.

We've never been to Pizza Planet, but it seems like a pretty decent CS option in a park that doesn't have a lot of great CS options. Your choices all look pretty tasty!

Breakfast at Akershus Royal Banquet Hal
The last several trips, we had eaten at either CRT or Akershus or both for our princess breakfast fix. This trip, I had originally booked an ADR for Akershus, then cancelled it, but ended up rebooking it while we were at Disney. We love this breakfast and it never disappoints, especially for 1 dining credit.

Above is the super delicious warm plate with the amazing eggs and potatoes. We typically love these and get seconds - this breakfast was no different. Below is a plate of some pastries and cheese. Also, a plate of the little princess's plate with a bagel, fruit, and yogurt - her favorites.

We had a slight problem with the pictures package, but it eventually worked out and the rest of the meal was as amazing as always. We rated this breakfast - food and especially the character interaction - a 5 out of 5!

We also, supplement with Peanut Butter & Jelly milkshakes from the Tune In Lounge to make it through the days or until Mama Melrose for a sit down meal!

In years past, I have always had the cobb salad. It is delicious! This year, we were on the DxDDP, so I tried some new things. We just love the atmosphere there - it seems so nice and cool and pretty after all the concrete and heat of DHS.

One thing that I do always get is the champagne flight!
